Most professional ladies are from Russia & Estonia, but there are also some local
girls. Prices range from FIM 500 to FIM 1000 (USD 90-180). However, price does not always
correspond to quality and good looks. Usually the ones who are permanently living in
Finland charge more than the ones with a one week tourist visa. If you can’t or
don’t want to take her to your hotel, it is usually quite safe to go to her apartment
or her hotel. In Helsinki the professional ladies can be found at least at the following
restaurants.
The number one place is Restaurant MIKADO (Mannerheimintie 6, opposite to the Swedish
Theatre) is a "normal" restaurant (food/bar/dancing) open until 4 AM. The
entrance fee is FIM 30 (USD 5.50). All female customers are professionals.
Restaurant KING’S KAKADU (Iso Roobertinkatu 20-22, near the corner of Annankatu) has
a striptease show (and private shows beginning at 9 AM). All of the female customers are
not professionals, some girls come to see the male stripper.
The striptease club MERMAID (Malminrinne 4, close to the SAS hotel) has a lousy striptease
show and extremely slow bar service. Private shows are available at FIM 200 (USD 36). The
entrance fee is FIM 50 (USD 10). Closing time is 3 AM. The clientele as well as the few
professional ladies are lower class than at the restaurants described above.
Street walkers can usually be found about 2 km north of the city centre in an area
surrounded by the following streets. Teollisuuskatu, Helsinginkatu, Fleminginkatu, and
Hämeentie. The girls are Finns, Russians, and Estonians. Prices vary from as low as FIM
100 (USD 18) for a blow job to FIM 500 (USD 90). Only a few of the girls have an apartment
close by, most of them will do you in your car.
Between the street walker area and the city centre there are a few massage parlours, some
of them offering erotic massage. I have no information about prices and what the services
include.
