Dec 16, 2006 — Two women were charged with prostitution offenses after police raided two York-area massage businesses that were previously busted in June.
Female attendants at Massage Therapy on East Prospect Road in Springettsbury Township and Clair Springs Spa on Security Drive in York Township offered sexual activity to undercover troopers visiting and requesting massage sessions, according to a Pennsylvania State Police report.
State police, along with officers from Springettsbury Township and York Area Regional had been investigating the businesses for about two weeks.
During the investigation, undercover troopers requested massage sessions. The attendants charged a session fee and then, during the massage, offered sexual activity, according to police.
Friday morning, police served search warrants at both businesses and seized tables, washers and dryers, refrigerators, stereo equipment, telephones and cash.
The investigation stemmed from complaints lodged by citizens and neighboring businesses who noted the large number of male patrons, according to the report.
Brent Lebouitz, who runs Sweet Willows Creamery across the street from Massage Therapy, said he's generally too busy making ice cream to pay too much attention to the massage parlor. But he did think some things were odd, such as the business' late hours.
"Their open sign's on at like 10 p.m.," he said.

No phone listings could be found for either business. Massage Therapy appeared to be closed Friday evening. The only sign hanging at the address listed for Clair Springs Spa read "Sorry, we're closed."

During Friday's searches, a third woman at one of the businesses was found to be an illegal immigrant and turned over to immigration agents, according to police.
