Prostitution Sting In Cincinnati--One arrested suspect--early January, 2005.
It's "buyer beware" for those who want to solicit prostitutes in the City of Cincinnati. [What a stupid lead. Obviously it's "buyer beware" everywhere you go, stings or not]
A new ordinance just went into effect aimed at hitting johns in the pocketbook, in addition to criminal charges.

Cincinnati Police have had their hands tied for the last two years due to overcrowding at the justice center.
So they asked city council for a new law that now adds a $500 civil fine in addition to the john's car being towed.
To help curb the prostitution problem in the city, Cincinnati Police did a reverse sting Wednesday. A female undercover officer was on the streets posing as a prostitute.
[What happens if the female cop is really a male? Is that a bent reverse sting? A curveball? A slider? Honestly, can't they avoid confusing everybody by dropping the archaic "reverse sting" phrase and just say "a sting aimed at johns?" I swear, you don't expect a place like Cincinnati to be as backwards as Kentucky]
Their first arrest: a 47-year-old employee for city waterworks allegedly soliciting in a marked city vehicle.
"No, I'm not doing nothing like that. I pulled up here to look at my paperwork and I was talking to my field supervisor before," the employee told police.
But police had a different story.
"The gentleman driving the white ford pickup truck solicited an undercover officer for $25 to engage in sex," said Lt. ["Gaybob"] Bob Ruebusch of Cincinnati Police.
The next arrest was a married 23-year-old man who [...]. The car was towed to an impound lot.
As part of a new law, Cincinnati Police are issuing new citations which will cost those soliciting prostitutes or trafficking drugs a $500 fine in addition to their car being towed and criminal charges.

"If the simple health risks associated with patronizing a prostitute aren't enough to keep people away then we want to try and encourage them to stay away, through the threat of being arrested and their car being impounded and substantial fines being leveled against them," said Chief Tom ["Rectal Stryker"] Streicher of Cincinnati Police.
Last year, Cincinnati Police arrested 400 prostitutes and 100 johns.

'Nuisance' motel on West Side closed
Every room is now vacant at the Mount Airy Motel on North Bend Road in Monfort Heights. Green Township and Hamilton County law officers closed the motel Monday morning after the county prosecutor's office got a court to issue an order.
MONFORT HEIGHTS - With a court order declaring the Mount Airy Motel a nuisance, police closed and padlocked the business Monday morning. Residents were forced to find a new place to stay.
"I've got nowhere to go," said a tearful [female] 50, as she stood next to her belongings in the motel parking lot. "They want to put me in a homeless shelter."
Citing more than 100 criminal offense reports during the past year related to the motel at 3294 North Bend Road, the Hamilton County Prosecutor's Office obtained a temporary restraining order declaring the premises "a nuisance and harmful to the health and safety of the community."
Those offenses included felony trafficking in cocaine, aggravated robbery, felonious assault, kidnapping and prostitution, the prosecutor's office said. Narcotics, guns, and money have been recovered during criminal arrests.
"The motel is in close proximity to two condominium complexes and a day-care center," the prosecutor's office said. "This illegal criminal activity poses an immediate and serious risk of harm to nearby residents."
Said Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters: "This motel has openly and notoriously been the site of criminal activity for a long time. Ohio law permits the county prosecutor's office to stop the nuisance and that is what we have done today."
The motel had been a constant source of complaints, said Green Township Administrator Kevin T. Celarek.
"It's great for the neighborhood. It's great for the business," Michael Newton, owner of the nearby Wooster's Tavern West, said of the motel's closing. "I don't think you're going to find anybody around here that's upset with this except if they lived there."
A hearing must be held within 10 days on the temporary restraining order closing the motel. If it's upheld, the motel would be shut down for at least a year, said Hamilton County sheriff's spokesman Steve Barnett.
The motel owner, xxx, arrived there about 11:30 a.m. Monday. Green Township Police Chief Bart West said xxx told him he was consulting with his attorney, and that he declined to speak to reporters.
More than 40 sheriff's deputies and Green Township officers converged on the motel about 9 a.m. and began going room to room informing residents that they had to leave, Barnett said. Twenty or more of the motel's rooms were occupied, and officers helped those tenants remove their belongings before the rooms were shuttered and padlocked, he said.
Police arrested three people on drug charges, Barnett said.
Although the motel advertised daily ($30) and weekly ($120) rates, some tenants told authorities they had lived there for more than a year, Barnett said. West said the motel does not meet code for extended stays.
Jerry Chesney, 53, who lives about a mile from the motel, said prostitution appeared to be a problem there.
"You'd see girls walking up and down the sidewalk eyeing every car. It just sticks out like a sore thumb. Monfort Heights is a nice neighborhood."

There are only three clubs left there and the same family runs all. They are “Centerfold”, “Brass Ass”, and “Brass Bull”; all are in walking distance of each other. Most of the women work there are ages ~30, and their looks below grad 5. They are quite mobile and occasionally a few young ~7 grad women would show up. For any real action, Brass Bull is the only place to be—--Dark and reasonably clean, the women there would do practically anything right there for $100 plus the customary cocktail charge (usually around $60). This is the only green spot. All others are waste of money. In Covington (few minus from Newport), the clubs are aggregated in Madison Street, Scott Street and rt.8 area.
