Troy is just outside Albany. There is a report of a strip club but this is the first report of street action for Troy. Thirteen men were arrested in a sting in the downtown area in late September, 2004. They ranged from 19 to 60 and hold jobs as varied as "cleaner" and "funeral director." Most of the arrests took place on Broadway, near the Post office, and all were between 7:42 pm and 11:30. (This seems to indicate the area was quite active, or the decoy was quite deceptive as well as good looking) Locations named were Third and Broadway, Church and Broadway, Third and Congress, Fifth Avenue and Broadway, Fourth and Broadway, Second Street and Broadway. Police swear the activity will continue "indefinitely." Nothing, however, lasts forever.

Colonie is so close to Albany that it's practically inside of Albany. In late June, 2004, police there sent in undercovers and then raided three massage parlors, two in storefronts and one in a home. Five women and a man, all asian immigrants, were arrested. The locations were a storefront at 29 Fuller Road, which was connected to further prostitution activity at 44 Maxwell Road. Another storefront MP was raided at 264 Osborne Road. None of the places had massage licenses. There hasn't been a report about Schenectady since 2001 but here's some new info. In late June, 2004, police arrested eight women in a sting operation around Central State Street and the Hamilton Hill area. The women were between 24 and 49. Police say they conduct the stings "periodically." I guess that means when the female undercovers are having their periods. Very very few escorts and the strip clubs are at a level far below bigger cities. But wait they do have lingerie places and these places offer no sex.
