As of late December, 2004, there is a report, the gist of which is, nine alleged prostitutes and one 20-year-old man, who police say was a pimp for some of the alleged prostitutes, were arrested.The sting was conducted over a two-day period a week before Christmas. The arrests were made at several area motels and at one spa. The spa, basically, once you get there for a massage, is $40 to $60 depending on how long you want a massage for. Once you go into the room, that’s when a proposition occurs. At that time the charge is going to be $250 [and] $200 and so forth. Police say the arrests are part of a continuing effort to deal with a problem that is growing as a result of the growing population in Clayton County.
