Teen fatally shot outside strip club - Early July, 2005. A 19-year-old was gunned down as he stood outside a strip club early Sunday morning, police say. The name of the man was not released by police Tuesday. A family friend said the teen was at Centerfold Showclub, 3480 S. Galena St., with five friends. Bonner's family attorney said the officer coaxed Bonner into the Top Star Motel. Soon after, the SWAT team stormed the room, and after hitting Bonner with a Taser gun, officers shot him in the back three times, even though he was unarmed, the Bonner family attorney said. The family's lawsuit, filed Wednesday, claims that the officer who shot him and the former police chief violated Bonner's constitutional rights. The shooting occurred during a prostitution sting at the Top Star Motel on Colfax Avenue. "Despite the fact that Mr. Bonner had been contained by the use of the stun gun and despite the fact that the officers were in physical contact with him, while his head was on or near the floor, and despite the fact that he was completely unarmed, Officer William Woods shot Mr. Bonner three times in the back, killing him," the lawsuit contends.
