I recently went to TJ for the first time. Adelita's was definitely the place for me. About 60% of the women were average, but the other 40% were 8's, 9's and 10's! Just wanted to give you a few tips as I traveled on September 19, 2005. Revolution is cool, but take care at night, some of the homeless motherfuckers will try to fuck you off, even other American assholes. Arrive early and enter the no-cover bars, to watch before you buy! Let no one talk you down (i.e. take money from you for stupid things, etc). Be nice with the other Mexican guys and waiters... if you are cool, they will help you, or even give you tips. ;) Try to walk on the streets the least you can. Do not stare at guys. NEVER show your money in public. Do not be smiling like a fucking retard, or look like a prick. Learn to say these words at the end and start of whatever the fuck you say: Por Favor and Gracias (Please and Thank You). They will appreciate it.
Always target to expend $50 bucks at the most on a bitch. If we accept the shitty $60 standard price, soon they will raise it! FUCK'EM. Always negotiate, and keep your eyes open and your ass tight. If you keep in mind these tips, you will have a hell of a time, as I did. TJ is one of the ugliest parts of Mexico. It is nothing like other GREAT cities like Monterrey, Guadalajara, Matamoros, La Paz and more - but the good thing in TJ are the BITCHES. :) That's right. Good Luck!!

After reading all the amazing reviews for TJ on this site, I just had to pay a visit when in the area recently. Rolled in about 11:00 PM on a Wed, and taxied in from the border. I pulled the curtains and walked into Adelita's with a preconceived idea of what it would be like, but all the reading I had done was completely inadequate to prepare me for this experience. Hot young girls everywhere, all of them seemingly desperate for me to take them upstairs. It was crowded, but there was enough room to make my way through brushing against hot babes all the way. Some would grab my shirt, and ALL of the girls that I made eye contact with would give me the look, and then look upstairs. Toward the back were rows of girls that looked like they had given up on any kind of score. The girls outnumbered the men by at least double.

These people seem to be almost totally dependant on us.
My recommendation: Go on down to TJ and have some fun. Be safe, don't be an asshole, and you shouldn't have any trouble. Let's not lose this amazing resource. I doubt it will be anytime soon that we get one of our own.

I have been going to TJ for over 15 years now and this is my advice: First thing, most of the 'strip clubs' on Revolution street SUCK and are full of TRANNY's. Don't waste your time here. Go straight to the Constitution area where Adelita's, Chicago Club, Miami/Hong Kong Bar are located. Besides all the clubs, there are girls standing outside the clubs leaning against the wall, each girl about 2-5 feet from the next. In this 3 block area, there are hundreds of girls inside & outside the clubs.
With the girls outside, you need to negotiate EVERYTHING, including whether or not she will give you head, and get totally naked. They start off at $20 for straight sex and then it costs extra for other things. I personally don't like the girls outside cuz they are not as 'giving/pleasing' as the ones in the club.
First off, TIPPING is the key. Giving your waiter, bartender or doorman/security $1 goes a long way. Take care of these people and they will take care of you. ALWAYS park your car on the American side and walk over the border. Catch a taxi for $5-6 (tip them also) and tell them Adelita's. They will have you there in about 5 minutes. If your cab driver speaks good English, he can recommend other places as well, but you will NOT be disappointed with Adelita's. Try going Monday through Thursday when its slower, and go in the early afternoon if possible. This is good for 2 reasons: 1) There are not as many customers there so you will get the BEST price possible. The girls are more open to negotiation and will come down on their price when there are not many customers there. 2) Some of these girls will have sex with over 20 guys by the end of the night, so you have to ask yourself, do you want to be customer #1, or customer #24.
I NEVER buy the girls drinks. $7-10 for an orange or apple juice is just not for me. I just politely decline. I don't go for a lot of chit-chat with the girls while in the bar. I figure out the ones I want, then make my move. Negoatiating is the key. You can get the girls to a lower price if you work it. Well guys, Tijuana is basically as stated by most people, but here are a few added pieces of advice!!! Just stay off of Revolution in general. All of the clubs there are way over-priced and all clubs past Carl's Jr. are TS/TG places. But if that is your bag, go to Eclipse and say Hi to Yasmin. As far as the Zona Norte is concerned, most of the time it is ok to walk down there - nightime being the exception - but it never hurts to take a cab, especially if it will by-pass the TJ River Bridge (very dangerous after dark). And if you can find one, take a Taxi Libre. These are metered taxis and will only run you $3 during the day, or $4 at night!!
As far as some of the clubs are concerned, the Hong Kong Bar is real nice - not a lot of whores, or at least they hide it, but are very friendly. The bartender is a sweetie and is easily a 9/10!! Plus Mexican beers are 2 for $3 in bottle form, and you pretty much get personalized service!! Avoid the Miami Bar for the most part, because it's essentially older Mexican men slow-dancing with cute younger Mexican girls!! -- with the exception of the occasional Shaving Cream/Chocolate Syrup "girl on girl" Wrestling match!! Adelita's and Chicago are both nice and have tons of girls, but don't have a lot of 'get-you-in-the-mood' stripping. Plus if you are H-Kong, go outside and take a right and then your first left, and they have the best tacos and hamburgers in all of TJ!!
Very Important: AVOID the cops as much as you can. If a situation is going down that doesn't look friendly, just walk away, or grab a car. They tend to like to hide in doorways, especially of the clubs. And remember, under Mexican law, if you pay a fine/bribe, ask for a receipt, or remember their badge number if possible!! I have been to Mexico/TJ many time for 25 years. Only in the past year have I ventured into the Zona Roja, specifically the Adelita Bar. I have been twice and went only AFTER doing A LOT of research and talking at length with someone that has gone there for 20 years. I thought I would share my 2 recent trips here, as well as some good advice for all on staying safe.
PARKING: Take the "Last USA Exit" off of the freeway. At the end of the offramp, make a left (you cross over the freeway) and then make a right at the stoplight. You will see a Jack in the Box on the left side of the street. I always park in a parking lot across the street from Jack in the Box. This is a good well-lit lot with security. When you return from TJ, the northbound freeway entrance is just outside this lot. Be careful where you park. I highly recommend NOT driving into Mexico. The laws are very different, as are the roads, local driving habits and parking. If you do drive in, good luck.
CROSSING THE BORDER: You are on the east side of the freeway and to get into Mexico you need to get to the other side of the freeway. After you exit the parking lot on foot, go right (south) and follow everyone else toward a bridge that will take you to the border crossing. Do not feel funny if it looks like you are the only gringo going into Mexico. There are plenty of Americans in TJ. NOTE: when you return from TJ, the entry into the US is on the east side of the freeway (same as the parking lot), so getting back to your car is a breeze. After you cross the bridge over the freeway, you will go through the turnstyles and you are now in Mexico.
SOME MEXICO NOTES: Guns are very illegal in Mexico. I recommend leaving all jewelry (rings, etc.) behind in the U.S. Try to dress down (I wear jeans and a t-shirt). Like the jewelry, you do not want to stand out. The prescription drug laws in Mexico are vague. Americans have been jailed for years for purchasing them in the wrong manner. I recommend staying away from this. Stay away from illegal drugs. While drinking is great, DO NOT get drunk in TJ. You will end up acting stupid and attracting unwanted attention from the police. Remember, this ain't America so drop the attitude. Always be polite and humble, especially if questioned by the police.
GETTING TO LA ZONA: After entering Mexico, you will pass through Mexican "Customs" (one guy in a uniform sitting in a chair yakking on a cell phone, or to some locals) and go through another set of turnstyles. You will see some taxi-cabs. If you are a single guy or in a group of guys, the taxi drivers all know where you want to go. They will start yelling out names of clubs or other offerings, "Hey guys, Chicago Club, Adelita's, Luxor, Donkey Show," etc. Take a cab, it only costs five bucks. If it is night, DO NOT try to walk to Zona Roja. The walk goes through some bad dark areas and I have read reports of people being jumped/robbed. Ask the cab driver to take you to Adelita's. I have only been to Adelita's twice. Chicago club is also rated very good and is in walking distance (across the street) from Adelita's. The cab driver might try to talk you into going elsewhere, they want to go to a place that pays them a finder's fee for bringing you to them. Politely refuse their offer. About 85% of the reviews I have read online are from Chicago Club or Adelita's.
NOTE ON ZONA ROJA: The Zona Roja reminds me of the Gaslamp district in San Diego. It is well lit and landscaped and rather clean. Stick to this area, especially at night. I recommend only going between Adelita's and Chicago Club ONLY. Stay out of the alleys where the street prostitutes are.
ADELITA'S: Adelita's is a loud fun place. The music and DJ are all in Spanish. The place is about 50% gringos, 50% locals. Don't worry, all the waiters speak English and are very friendly (as is everyone in here). Sit down at a table and soak it all in a bit. They have TV's playing Fox Sports, etc., and of course the ladies. The girls will be standing around all over. Some roam around, others do not. Some will approach you and chat. This can range from minor chit-chat all the way up to blatant offers to go upstairs. Some girls will ask you to buy them a drink. The girls all get "tokens" from the bartender for each drink you buy them, and oh, their orange juice will set you back $8 compared to your beer that is $2.
My advice, TAKE YOUR TIME. If you like the girl, great. Buy her the drink and chat. If not, tell her you are not interested. It is business and they know this. They will move on. The girls are not too pushy with the drinks, they are more interested in gettng you "upstairs." The last thing you want here is buyer's remorse. Make sure to take a good walk around and check out all the girls before deciding on one. The girls also rotate in and out, so it changes. If you see one you like, ask her to come sit with you - she will be more than happy to. Be sure to order yourself something from the bartender. And do not forget, a dollar goes a long way here, so tipping is recommended. Do not worry about drinks with ice in them. Despite the rumors, Mexicans are not immune to their own tap water and they will get sick too if they drink it. All water/ice used in food prep in Mexico is purified and is OK to drink. And once again, DO NOT get drunk in TJ as you are inviting trouble.
NEGOTIATING THE DEAL: Once you choose a girl, it is time to negotiate the deal. Before you go "upstairs" you need to be sure you will get what you want. Be sure to cover things such as: Specifically what you want (Sex, BJ, Anal, etc.). A few girls will not give a BJ, many will not do anal. Be sure to ask, if this is what you want. When you exit US customs, your car will be a very short walk away.
COST OF THE TRIP: $5.00, Taxi to Adelita's; $24.00, Drinks and tips in Adelita's; $60.00, The "girl"; $12.00, The room; $1.00, The room cleanup guy; $5.00, Taxi back to the border.... $107.00, TOTAL. Not bad for a fun night of drinking and partying.
