It's about a 30 min. ride from the hotel zone. But as mentioned in other reviews, be careful with the taxi drivers. They'll try to wait for you and get an exorbitant fee. We even told one driver "Do Not Wait" several times. We paid him $20US for the trip there. We spent about 4 hrs. in the joint and when we came out, there he was. We believe he understood us, but gambled that we'd ride back with him and he could charge us for the wait. Stupidly, we got back in his cab and half way back he tells us we owe him $80. I told him to get screwed. The next thing you know he pulls up to this little "policia" precinct with many Uzi carrying officers. He spoke some lightning fast Spanish to a sergeant, who proceeded to tell me in no uncertain terms "Pay the man, or go to jail" In my drunken fury I stuck my hands out and said, "Take me away"! Very luckily some touristo friendly Cancun local cops came along and saved the day. They straightened everything out and even took us back to our hotel. Sorry for the long story, but I hope you'll heed my warning.

I'm surprised to see a blank page from Cancun. I know there were quite a few reviews posted in the past. As someone who loves Mexico and Mexican chicas, I have a few favorite spots. "Chilly Willies" outside Cancun about 45 min. is so worth the $20 cab ride. (Jan. 2001) I thought for sure the cab driver was taking me to my doom. Then all of a sudden like a guiding light came the bright neon sign of "Chilly Willies". I was surprised at the $35 cover charge, but was told it included all the booze I wanted (you do still have to pay for the girl's drink.) Once inside I found the club to be pleasant. The girls here at Shampoo and Bolero really try to get away with doing BJ's and hand jobs - be careful to negotiate the deal in advance. They use their lack of English as an excuse to take your money and not deliver as promised. Believe me, they understand "full service" and "fucking"!!!! Buyer beware! It helps to speak Spanish in these places. Expect on paying $100 to $150 for oral & hand job and $200 to $300 for "full service" as they like to call it. They have "installations" in the back which consist of a couple of cubicles with dirty mattresses. Better to take the girl to your hotel. Be careful: taxi drivers will tell you that Bolero and Shampoo are closed. This is not true! They want to take you out to Plaza 21 so they can charge you 10X more in cab fare and get kickback commissions from the Plaza 21 strip clubs! Don't fall for this scam. Tell the cab driver that you 100% know they are open and to take you to Daddy-O disco. The clubs Bolero and Shampoo are right next to Daddy-O disco. Just ask anybody. They're famous strip clubs in Cancun.

~~3.) Plaza 21 - Blackjacks, Millenium, Katunga, etc.~~
Plaza 21 or "veinte uno" is a strip shopping mall of whorehouse style strip clubs. It's the same as Bolero and Shampoo except that it's a good 30 minutes to 1 hour away from your hotel. Cabbies love to take you for a ride out to Plaza 21 and will offer to wait for you - $$$$$$$ - I've heard of men paying anywhere from $20 one way to $150 roundtrip with a couple hours of waiting time. The girls at Plaza 21 range from 2's and 3's (street corner quality) to a very rare 9 or 10. The majority are 5's to 7's - okay, but nothing incredible. My complaint with 21 is cost and staff aggressiveness: it's a rip off. When you add high taxi fares, cover charges, rip off drink prices, waiters out to rip you off (and they always succeed), and a starting price of $100 greenbacks for a blow job, the total bill comes out to over $250 or $300 USD for some oral action with a 5 or 6 chica. If you plan on using your credit card, watch out - the Plaza 21 clubs are notorious for "double imprinting" your card and putting mystery charges on it. Also, waiters and doormen are aggressive in offering cocaine and other illegal substances - be careful as it's a scam and the cops are often in on it! Watch out! My advice: stick to Bolero and Shampoo. They are closer to your hotel and less of a hassle. Also, a much safer environment and the staff is friendlier. A few months ago human skeletons were discovered out at Plaza 21. The human remains are yet to be identified. Be careful folks! Plaza 21 is best left for locals.~~~~4.) Chilly Willy's~~
Avoid this dump. It’s an expensive mandatory "open bar" with lousy watered downed drinks. It's a taxi driver's dream - huge commission kick backs, high cab fares, far away from the hotels. Cabbies get a free table with free soft drinks and smokes while waiting for their client. Chilly Willy's gives away a free new Nissan Sentra taxi cab every year to the cabbie that brings them the most business! 2nd and 3rd place prizes are also lavish for the taxis. Every 15 clients that a taxi brings to the place he gets a free "full service" out the back with one of the homelier girls. The girls at Chilly Willy's are nothing special and it's too expensive for the quality they deliver. Stay away from this dump.

~~5.) Real cheap pussy: the bars along "Avenida Lopez Portillo" ~~
Folks, this is where the locals go shopping for the K-Mart Red Light specials. $300 pesos ($33 USD) and you're in for the full royal treatment. Quality of girls runs from incredible to dogs. They're going to attempt to convince you into Plaza 21 - obviously they want a bigger cab fare and commission kickbacks. Ignore them until you find a cab driver that will take you.

Forget about Chilly Willies, I've been there too many times and have seen them raise their entrance fee over the years, in lieu of a new "open" bar policy. It's just too much for the same old pussy you can get anywhere down there. Unlike Chillys, Club 21 is effectively a large shopping mall of adjacent strip bars (probably a dozen in all), some bigger than the others, all interesting, all employing incredible Mexicana chiquitas. I read the Cancun review #996 dated 12/10/99 and wanted to add my perception about the bar he calls "Crazy Willies" in the review. I have been to Cancun at least 7 or 8 times with the last time being in 1997.
I think the traveler is referring to "Chilly Willy's". Chilly Willy's is a legal brothel and the girls sit on chairs in the back where they can be selected or one may join you at your table. It is not actually a strip club, but occasionally a girl may dance topless or a Mexican band may play on stage. The girls wear nice dresses and they are in their early twenties. (Minimum age to work there is 20 according to the girls). The quality of the girls here can range from average to stunning (6-9). Didn't remember seeing any bad looking girls at all !
It cost me $5-10 US cover to get in the place depending upon the night (higher for weekends). This may have gone up to $20 US as he indicated. Beers (Corona) are about a buck or so. Yes indeed, it did cost me $60 US for 30 minutes of full service pleasure (suck and fuck) with a girl in one of the attached bungalow rooms. Just pick a girl and ask to take her to the room. Expect to tip the towel women $1-2 US who will hand you a towel and condom before entering the room. Chilly's does take Mastercard/Visa and I used my Visa card to party twice. There is a fee to walk in which sucks, I think it is 20 bucks, and we did buy a drink (by choice). The inside is a beautiful New York quality strip club. Tons of girls. After screwing around at Chilly's, you may want to check out Club VeinteUno (Club 21) which is a short drive past Chilly's on the same country road.
VeinteUno costs about $5 to enter (same as Chilly's) but the girls here go for $80-100 for the same type of party.
