"It only gets worse. They have to come down heavy-handed otherwise we will have a mini Soho."
Linda King Taylor, chairwoman of the Paddington Green police/community sector working group, said: "I understand residents' concerns. I myself was kept awake during the early hours of Monday morning.

"They have no respect for themselves let alone residents.
"Times are difficult enough for visitors to London and why should they stay in hotels in Sussex Gardens and be kept awake all night by this appalling behaviour? Working with the police and Westminster City Council, we are determined to restore the reputation of the Sussex Gardens area."
A spokesman, speaking jointly for the police and council, said: "The police, council and partners are aware of the long-standing problems in Sussex Gardens and have recently formed a task group with residents to reconsider and develop operations in the area.
"We hope to continue to work with members of the community to develop sustainable solutions in the months to come.
"We will look at the problems experienced by people telephoning us and seek ways of improving things. We are keen to hear from the community."
