El Cubano is still in business. I was pounding beers at another bar and became horny and had no patience for trying to pick up a tourist. So, off I went to El Cubano. Grabbed a corner stool at the bar ordered a beer and just kinda observed. After about 10 minutes, a pretty girl, probably about a 6 came from somewhere and sat beside me and introduced herself. There were about 40 guys in there, mostly Dominicans and they paid no attention to me.
After a few minutes talking with this one, she just left, never saw here again, I figure she wanted me to ask her to fuck. I never did, remember I am hammered from the night of drinking.

Police team razes abandoned buildings, cleans up--late December, 2005

ST. CROIX - Tractors cleared lots overgrown with brush and tore down abandoned buildings in Estate Campo Rico on Wednesday as part of a neighborhood cleanup initiative spearheaded by the V.I. Police Department's Street Enforcement Team.
Police Officer Uston Cornelius, a Street Enforcement Team leader, said the abandoned buildings were hotbeds for drug use, prostitution and gambling. In an effort to curb violence and crime in the neighborhood, he said, 13 members of the Street Enforcement Team joined together with businesses and government agencies to clean up the area.
"The goal of the project is to make the community safer for residents and for officers," Cornelius said.
Police Officer Herman Lynch said that just last week, officers confiscated 21 dime bags of cocaine inside one of the abandoned buildings.
Lynch said the cleanup allows officers to foster a relationship with residents in the community and to try new techniques for fighting crime.
"It's not always about having police raids and making arrests," Lynch said. "We try to do something to improve the community and help relieve some of that fear among residents."
He said residents in the area expressed their appreciation to the officers for cleaning up the neighborhood, but they did so quietly and out of sight.
"A lot of the residents are in fear and we still have a long way to go," Lynch said.
In addition to clearing lots and tearing down empty buildings, V.I Water and Power Authority workmen trimmed trees that were blocking streetlights in the neighborhood at night. Officers also repainted a gazebo where 30-year-old Steve Hart was shot and killed last month.
Lynch said similar cleanups were conducted in Estate Sion Farm earlier this year.
The cleanup initiative was a joint effort between the V.I. police, Water and Power Authority; Planning and Natural Resources, Agriculture, Housing, Parks and Recreation departments; and several businesses.

A nice, classy new club has opened up in St. Thomas known as the Skybox. It opened in October and is located in the complex formerly known as the Old Mill - which now houses Skybox, The Score (a sports bar) and Spectrum (a dance club). It is located west of Charlotte Amalie and up in the hills a bit in the area known as Contant. Ask any local for directions to the Old Mill and they should be able to get you there.
I've only been twice and the place is fairly small, but nice inside. They usually have 3 or 4 girls working, a mixture of Spanish (Dominican), West Indian, and white (Stateside). Prices for dances are a bit steep, I guess -- $60 gets you three songs in the comfortable private booth where most of the girls will get fully naked and touch you through your clothes. You can touch them anywhere but the pu$$y, and kiss them anywhere except there or on the lips. Most are very horny and personable, and do a good job getting you off.
Best of all, this place is much safer than any of the alternatives on St. Thomas described here. Were it not for the big stripper pole in the center, this place could pass for a nice Stateside bar in terms of the decor and professionalism of the staff. This is just what us locals have been waiting for, and I hope they do very well. Easily the best place for tourists looking for a (not too dirty) good time. If you are looking for more full service, you will have to try the seedier places described below, I guess.

Action is alive and well on St. Thomas. Spent last week there on vacation. Went to Jala Jala twice, it is just a few blocks from the Holiday Inn. My visits were during the daytime, not as easy to get away at night. Very quiet bar, but when leaving, I entered another door at the corner of the building beside the bar exit, inside was a stair to the upper level. Both times, I met a lovely lady for a fun time. Each time was $40 for full service and covered BJ. First was a girl from Santa Domingo and the second time it was from Columbia. Both were great GFE. No pressure, and no time keeping. They were 8's and no less. Found the Tank, it helped knowing that it is located across from a VIP water tank. Directions are to take the first right out of airport, go right and right again up the hills till you see a bar across from a green tank. The morning I was there, several girls were in the bar. Ranging from 6's to 9's. Met up with a pretty girl from Dominicia, she started at $50 , no BJ, just straight sex. Gave her another 10, and I wasn't quick enough for her, she said time was up...Kind of a rip-off, not a great experience. Found a new spot, called El Cubano on the East end of the island. It is next to a strip club, I visited on a Sunday, lots of girls...but mostly 4-6's. Nothing interested me, but $30 would have gotten me anything I wanted. I'm traveling on business, and since the phonebooks here don't work like they do in most of the world (almost everywhere you go, as long as you have a phone book you can find an escort in the yellow pages), I used this site as a reference, and therefore feel I at least owe my feedback in return.
I tried to find Jala Jala in the phonebook, but couldn't, did find Club 75, saw it's address in the phonebook, matched it to the map they give you in one of those travel guides, realized it was downtown Charlotte Amalie ( I actually cruised this area last night, didn't notice anything!), got in the car and presto gizmo I found it right around where I thought it was. Neighborhood looked a tad seedy, but nothing like what they would want you to believe, at least it didn't seem that way unless you are naturally afraid of black people, which you shouldn't be.
Club 75 is on a corner, on a second floor. On the way in, there was a fellow (might've beena little high) who asked me for a dollar, I smiled and walked by. You go upstairs, and there's some guy playing a video poker game, the rest of the room is empty. I walk around, dont see anyone, no bartender, nothing, so I ask the guy playing the poker if he knows where Jala Jala is. He tells me its down the street a little more, and as I turn to leave some hard looking sister comes out from the back and asks me what I want. I say nothing, the guy mentions Jala Jala, and she tries to tell me why I shouldnt go there. I wasn't staying at club 75 for this one so I thanked her and left, headed up the street to Jala Jala.
It's on your right, I parked on the left, across the street, when I walked up to the building there were a few guys and a bunch of women dressed for work. I asked where the entrance was, the guy points to a door, points to a Dominican girl and said she could show me the way in. She looked okay, probably a 6 or even 7 on a tough day, and I was tired, so I went with it, it was $60 for as much as you could get in in a half hour, I probably could've dealt for $50, it was ok, girl was nice, wierdest thing though is that after each time you do it with them, and before the first time, she cleans her private off by pouring water over their merchandise. Keeps it clean I guess.
On the ride back to my room, which was near downtown to begin with, I saw some other working ladies walking or at least hanging by their spots, or clubs, I dont know, but there were a few that had I noticed on the way up I might've stopped to check out, they were lookers from the car, anyway, I didn't so if anyone does, spread the word (Review # 8358)

Here's the scoop. It's illegal here, but the cops pretty much don't give a crap. ~~~~It's paradise! (They are that way about a lot of things as long as you don't hurt anyone)~~~~Oh yeah, you can drive around with a beer or cocktail in your hand too...pretty cool. (Just don't get in an accident when you're drunk!)~~~~~~~~THE SCOOP~~ ~~Cabs can take you to any of these places, just tell them where you want to go and Boom! you're there. No hassel. ~~~~Jala Jala-- Yeah. Scary. Bad neighborhood. Don't walk around there at night, you'll get jacked. Take a cab and have them drop you off if you want to go--don't walk! Even if it is close to downtown.~~ ~~Inside you'll find Latin girls, some black girls...they're OK. I mean if you look long and hard, you might find something you dig. But, there are many girls that are just plain frickin ghetto nasty looking in there. BUT--there are a few. So maybe you'll get lucky. Go in, have a cheap beer, see what pops up. Prices run around $40 for just about damn near anything and selection varies.. So if you see nothing you like, bail. After a half an hour and hit another place on this list...like...~~ ~~The Tank--Really super hard to find. It's near the airport and that is the best I ca do for you, since the streets don't have names in that area. Latin girls are everywhere and most are pretty fine looking. Way better the Jala Jala. Very very nice "hosts" in there as well. It kinda looks like a biker bar, but your safe inside. The area around isn't that bad either. I wouldn't recommend walking around with $100 bills hanging out of your pocket or anything...but you'll be all right. ~~~~Go in, sit at the bar and engage someone. Hours vary, sometimes it's closed at weird times, sometimes it appears so packed with dudes, you'll be looking around trying to glimpse the babes, but it's a pretty decent place. Women are in the 7-8 category as far as hotti's. ~~ ~~Club 75--This is a strip club and money goes fast if you are not careful. Dances cost anywhere from $10-$25---depending on who is hustling you. ~~The good news is, it's safe, nice, full bar, music, DJ and actually looks like a stateside titty bar.~~You can chill and just get dances at the stage, you can go in back and get a private dance (more $$$) or you can do what is referred to as VIP. They take you into little rooms in back (past the private dance area) and for anywhere from $100-$150 (depends on the chick, you can usually barter) you'll get the full treatment. The bonus about this place is, it's in a convient location from downtown and the girls are hotter then Jala or Tank (for the most part). ~~Once again, it's almost all black girls, so if you want white girls, go to....~~ ~~Platinium Island--This is a brand new dance club right next to a place called the SHIPWRECK--which is a tavern. Cabs will know where the SHIPWRECK is, even if they don't know where Platnium Island is, cause it's so new.~~It's probably the nicest titty bar on St Thomas, which isn't saying much--but the girls are good looking and one of the few places you can get the "white girl next door". They offer table dances, private dances and I'm not sure what else. But I have a feeling (if you have plenty of dough) anything is for sale if you work it right. Be careful though, there tends to be lots of attitudes among the white girls which is something that’s not a problem among the Latin girls, for some reason. So it's give and take. ~~~~ ~~Decide what you want and go forth Kimosabee! ~~Good luck!~~ ~~PS One more place, which I have been told is Heaven is El Cubano in Smith Bay. It's a hell of a cab ride from what I hear and in a bad area, but if you take a cab, get dropped off and picked up, you should be fine. A lot of people rave about it. I have lived in St. Thomas for over 15 years; the following is a compilation of Strip/incall clubs on the island of St. Thomas. Jala Jala: A scary place but it has some cute girls, mostly from The Dominican Republic. They range from 1 to 8's. Rates are $30-$90 for an hour. Club 75: Also in a scary part of town but relatively safe. A lot of state side girls and some Orientals, this place can get expensive but is sometimes worth it. Expect to spend $100-$150 for full service in the "VIP" section. The Tanks: All Dominican ladies similar to Jala Jala; same rates nicer girls. All taxi drivers know about these places.
