I traveled to Santiago and before I could check in with immigration, I was approached by a Cuban immigration officer and asked for my passport, he left me standing there for about one hour, when he returned, he told me I would have to fly to Havana and meet with the ministry of the interior, who had some questions for me. This would have been my 7th time to Cuba. I was escorted and flown to Havana, that evening and turned over to the ministry, who itemized all my belongings and then put me in a cell with 6 other men from various countries, I myself am Canadian. After two days of being held they put me on a plane and sent me back to Canada.

I was never questioned or told what the problem was, they did take my mug shot and finger prints at no time did I feel in danger. The other men in the prison all seemed to have legit problems, ie; fake visas, passport or problems with drugs but none where American or Canadian.

When I returned to Canadian I was furious, I contacted everyone, the Cuban consulate, the embassy and even a local politician to find out what happened, it is now over 7 months and I am still waiting on an answer, I have been told absolutely nothing. They never charged or arrested me at all and where actually very nice to me. I just wanted to let everyone know to be careful when traveling to Cuba. There are plenty of nicer ladies in other countries with less hassle. Hope this helps someone.

I have just spent 6 weeks in Cuba and I must say that sex in Cuba is no longer what it used to be. Gone are the days when you could pick up a nice negrita or mulatta and spend the night with her in your casa particular.

The socialist government stopped it years ago. Nowadays casa owners are not allowed to accept a chica in their house, and they are strictly controlled about that. After a few minutes she will come, a little later she will have her second orgasm. If you have not had yours by now, you won’t probably get it, because she will say it hurts and she must do the shopping anyway. Then she will go to the bathroom and resurface after a while, fully dressed. Your might meet a more co-operative girl, if you are lucky.

Outside Havana there are very few prostitutes to choose from. The procedure is the same as in Havana. The beach resorts such as Varadero are only for foreign tourists and absolutely chica-free. I spent one week in Holguin in late January 2007. Stayed in a Casa particular but didn't ever bring a girl back to it, I used other locations for my liaisons. Seems that some new info is needed on Cuba. Was just there for a few weeks in December '04. Most important: you absolutely must learn some Spanish before you go, especially if you hope for the girlfriend experience, otherwise its gonna be slam bam quick and more $$$ than it needs to be. US dollars arent very useful anymore, they will take them, but its better value for pesos convertibles.

Next city i went to: CIENFEUGOS...great place to find chicks. Tons of girls, not so many westerners to compete with. Much better. Just go to an outside bar at night near their Malecon (street by water). Many many girls on weekends. Some guest houses wont let you bring girls in though. Police less present than big touristed cities.

Next city: TRINIDAD, beautiful and touristy. Few girls at a disco,  named Case de la musica also, beyond back of the steps in city center where the free concerts are. Police are watching heavily in the more touristy places, so its tougher.

Next city: CAMAGUEY... Great for girls like Cienfeugos. Because not many tourists, lots of chicks, not so many police watching you.

Next i went to: SANTIAGO de CUBA...hated this nasty big city of pollution. Worst hustlers.

Next BARACOA: Small town at end of Cuba. Quaint, charming but not much on lady luck. Police no fun. Low number of girls as well.

Holguin is known by locals as the place for the prettiest and nicest women in Cuba. There is always a fashion show going on in one of the city square art shops. If you like light skinned /eyed women then this is the place. The city square is where the action is. Just head down around 9:00 PM. There will be a lot of girls sitting on the benches. They will usually smile as you walk by. The women are not as corrupted as the ones in Havana. Discretion is very important. Most everybody seems to know one another in this town. Most respectable "casa particulars" in the city will not allow "street guests". You can easily rent a room for $8 - $10. Company will run you from $15 - $25 for a couple of hours.

The nicest thing about Cuban girls is that they love sex and it is as natural to them as eating or breathing. Unfortunatelly, over the years (my first time in Cuba - almost 9 years ago), their attitudes have changed and the change was easy for me to notice every time I returned to the country. Stop and think for a second: average salary in Cuba (providing they have a job) is about $8 a month, yes, that's not an error - eight dollars a month. Prostitution is a choice of a few, most do that because they do not have regular jobs. Some have jobs and pussy gets them additional income. Nowadays, paying $5 for a fuck is an encient history. Around $20 is going rate. Free pussy you may get if you bullshit a girl (promise her something) or if she falls in love with you or has hopes for something you are on a position to provide for her.

You may get a fuck for $15 if the girl is average looking and for $10 if she is a dog. So, you see; even an ugly one, if she gets a john once a month, makes more than some factory worker, who does his (her) 9 to 5 in one month. Now, I think it would be fair to assume, that good looking girl can get fucked 20 times a month @$20 each time, to say the least. So she makes $400 - that's 50 times as much as someone who does real job - 8 hours or more a day.

Cuba is one of the last bastions of inexpensive pussy. So please, please... please, do not spoil it. If you pay $20 to a good looking girl, and she tries to make you feel bad, that you didn't pay her enough, do not worry... think about those other good looking girls, who chose not to fuck for money, and have to work 2.5 months for $20. I can promise you one think - if you are firm, all those girls who ask you to pay them $30, $40, or more, will go with you for $20 once they realize you are not going to pay more. However, if not, turn your back on them, and find one of a million other Cubanas who will be glad you took'em. Of course, paying over $20 is acceptable, providing that you get exceptionally good service, or, I don't know, for example anal; but this would be in a form of a tip. BBBJ is not one of those special services - should be a standard.

Another thing: if you are staying at the resort (choice of most first-timers to Cuba), bringing a girl to your room is not allowed. Sometimes you have to find the way to sneak her into your room or you have to pay the security guard. If this is the case and you are willing to make this additional investment, calculate it in your total cost (it may have an impact on your price negotiation with the girl), but again, please DO NOT SPOIL SECURITY either.

I have been asked to pay $15 and $20 for a privilage to bring a girl to my room. Never paid more than $10.
