Vietnamese girls, on the other hand, are strong, funny, intelligent, affectionate, passionate, and the most beautiful in all Asia.~~~~It is relatively easy to meet a bar girl, professional prostitute, or just a nice girl who wants to have a fun and romantic time in Saigon. You will also meet very reserved, quiet girls, usually in professional positions. Don't even try there. Address your young woman as "Em" (Miss), a woman in her 30s as "Co" (sister) and an older woman as "Ba" (Ma'am). They will find this both amusing and endearing, and you will score points for your efforts.~~~~When a girl joins you, she will ask you to buy her a drink. Do so and don't argue about it. She will not touch her drink, but will caress your hands, neck, and face. She will wash your face for you and make conversation. This isn't so bad, but avoid the bars that want 100,000 dong per drink ($7.25) and want you to buy about ten drinks. You'll suds them out soon enough. A good rule of thumb is: find the bars run by women--they are kind and fair. The more Vnese men you see in a bar, the more trouble you'll have. They're thieves who use and abuse both Vnese women and foreign travelers.~~~~Anyway, once you've made the connection with your lady, you can either go upstairs to make love, go to a "mini-hotel," or take her home with you. Scout out mini hotels in advance so you know where you're going, but a safe bet is the legendary Luc Phuc Hotel. They charge $30 for an hour or a night, doesn't matter which, and the rooms are huge and gorgeous. The hotel pays enormous bribes to the police, so you'll have no fear of being disturbed. If your hotel (usually the smaller ones--they need the money and don't have to maintain any image) allows you to bring girls home, all the best for you. You'll be more comfortable in your own room and will save money. It pays, though, to tip the boys behind the desk a bit, and be nice to them. They will watch out for you, and in the rare event of a police raid, will warn you and get the girl out of your room in time so you won't have any trouble.~~~~Vnese women prefer to bathe briefly--alone--before sex, and for you to bathe as well. Also, never give them money in public.~~~~I tell you this because Viet Nam is a great place and I don't want to see it ruined as Thailand has been ruined. My last stay in Bangkok, the women were dishonest and sullen, and every other Thai I met tried to rip me off. I never have these problems in Viet Nam. Look out for the keywords "Sauna & Massage" in this city. They are often visible in bright neon on Chinese hotels. Whether this invariably refers to commercial sex I don't know, but often it does. As far as I have understood from Vietnamese contacts, the locals also connect these places with potential "boom boom".
I was recommended PHU THO HOTEL, a major hotel at 527 - 3/2 Street, District 11 (phone 855 8378 or 855 1310, fax +84 8 855 1255) for massage. I had asked for a good place to get "traditional health massage" which may be the reason why there was no sign of any "extras" being offered.
