I was in Phuket for 3 days last week. Wow, what a place, Christenes was as good as advertised. It was wonderful. Hero's was great. found a place with a live band that played good old rock and roll.

Stayed at the Krabi Heritage hotel, May 04. This is a 3 star hotel with clean and basic rooms, It has friendly staff and no charge for "lady guests" in your room. Nightlife Just walked out of my hotel, turned right and within 90 seconds walk you reach some open-air beer bars (just like those in Pattaya and Phuket).
The ladies have average Thai looks, 6-7.5, speak a little English and are v friendly. Met this one girly called Chin (30) in Lovely Bar. She loved to bump and grind when she rode me, and she was very noisy when she came...Bliss! The asking price for all-night (long-time) is 700B with a bar-fine of around 100-200B. (If one was extra hot and horny I gave 1,000B for the night).
The bars start to get going at 8 PM and close around 1-1.30 AM. Krabi is 45% Muslim which would explain why I didn't see any lapdancing/strip shows. The future Krabi is still quiet at the moment, but building is going on non-stop and in 2-3 years it will be spoiled. This was my 8th trip to Thailand (and my best). Either the place has changed, the 'rules' are changed or I was in the wrong place.
We arrived around 9pm and took a seat in a bar down stairs and waited for the advertized "sexy show" to start at 10:30. I was in Bangkok for 6 days in august of 2001, and it was delightful. Let me tell you about it.~~
~~~~After landing at Don Munag International Airport, I grabbed an airport taxi and told him to take me to the Miami Hotel on Sukumvit. Having been to Thailand before, I knew Sukhumvit well as a haven for beautiful Thai women. Anyway, on the way there, this gentlemen (and I mean he was a cool character)suggested I stay at the Ruam Chit Plaza Hotel on Sukhumvit. Knowing there was no tip in it for him (being an official airport taxi), and seeing he was a good egg, I decided to trust his judgment. Boy am I glad I did. The hotel was right next to Clinton Plaza, and directly above the Thermae Coffe House! How convenient is that!? The rooms were 1050 baht per night for a spacious room with a large bath with hot water, cable TV, and large king size bed, and AC. As soon as I dropped my suitcase inside the door, I showered off the stink of the long flight and immediately headed down the street to Nana Plaza. Well, by now its 2 am. and most of the bars are shut down. But, the place is crawling with people, and as I look across the street from Nana Plaza, I see the Nana Hotel.~~
~~~~Well, what do I see, but DOZENS...no, HUNDREDS of beautiful Thai girls (All ages 18-22, with hourglass bodies and long dark hair, with pump heels and short tight skirts) milling about outside the Nana Hotel in the parking lot. Then, I see several western guys walking out of the Hotel (Actually, from the Disco inside the hotel) with one, two, and sometimes three of these centerfolds on their arms. I almost shot my wad right there. With only 2000 baht in my pocket, and seeing it was my first night, I decided to roam the parking lot and see what might happen. Well, I'm not there more than 90 seconds and as I turn to walk back toward the street, a cute little Thai girl is standing in my way, looking up at me with a cute smile.

She says "short time: 1000 baht. Being 2:15 am, I was in no mood to haggle on price, and so she flagged a taxi and within 60 seconds we were at the front door. Another 2 minutes later, I was laying on my back in bed waiting for her to come out of the shower (Thai girls ALWAYS shower before getting in bed). The minutes seemed like hours, but finally this 5 foot tall, 95 pound nympho comes walking out of the bathroom in a terry cloth bath towel wrapped around her. From there...well, it was heaven. She acted like I was her long lost boyfriend that night...she fucked, sucked, and even sat on my face for 15 minutes on end. I've never been fulfilled like that.

After reading the reviews here, I was heavily skeptical about the situation in BKK, and it appeared just as the members of this board have described it: too many clubs in too small an area asking for too much money. I had been to Hat Yai (Haad Yai) for 3 times already this year. The city is only 70 kilometers from the Malaysia border. There is an international airport at the north of city -- about 30 minutes by car. How comes WSG has not got a column for this lovely city? Strongly recommended if you are from Malaysia/Singapore/Australia. Malaysia can be difficult at times to get action, but the areas near the Thai border are usually great fun. Once you check into a hotel, the bell-boy will come to ask you about "puying" (woman), just say yes and within 15 minutes a mamasan will bring 10 girls into your room. They charge 2000 baht, and I am not sure if you can bargain down. On the hotel counter there must be a dozen tourist maps showing you where to go for night action -- all in the same city area. 10 minutes is the maximum time you’ll need to get there by tuk-tuk. Tuk-tuk drivers will ask for 40-baht but tell him you will only pay 20. If he declines, there is usually another driver waiting at the other side of street.

As an expat in Thailand I like contribute a tip for Bangkok. I see Anies massage parlor in Soi Nana many times listed in your guide. There is a similar place in Sukhumvit Soi 5. Just pass Foodland and enter the soi on the other side of the street. The place is called Sweet Heart Tel.: 6555947. The girls are not exactly models, but every time I went there I got a friendly service. The mama san is very eager to keep you satisfied and is giving good tips to the girls. Asking rate is Baht 1000,- but you can negotiate to Baht 800,- for 90 min. The rooms have no bath. The girls shower with you in a separate room and then you go to another room the action. I have lived in Bangkok for some months now and visited the main entertainment areas on a regular basis. Patpong is a definite rip off and, in my view to be avoided like the plague. Nana Plaza s good, safe and you are unlikely to get ripped off except by the recently increased drinks prices in SOME of the bars (110 Baht for a beer). Generally however it is good fun and a good variety of girls. Be aware however that however much she "Loves you" her motives are purely mercenary. I have seen some of the salaries paid and based on the number of "offs", some of these girls are going out three times a night, so make sure when you negotiate that you are clear if you have agreed short time or long time.
Clinton Entertainment Plaza, half way up Sukhumvit towards Asok/Soi Cowboy is fairly new, but the only really good GoGo there is Dolls House which has some beautiful girls. I do not agree with an earlier report about Soi Cowboy - it did go through a bad period but it is now my favourite haunt. Long Gun has the best show of all with the sexiest strip I have ever seen. Nana Plaza is more exciting, but I find the girls at Soi Cowboy much more pleasant, particularly in Moonshine Joint (not the most beautiful, but great fun), Jungle Jims and Toy Bar. I would like to stress out NOT TO PAY TOO MUCH to a girl. Especially when you are from a western country your budget will be like a year income for a whole family when going to an undeveloped country. Like all of Africa and most of Asia. Also the former states of the USSR.
And stop comparing prices in US$. When you pay 100$ for a 1 hour session you may think you saved at least 50% of the price at home. BUT, you just paid more than 200% - 500% of the normal price. So behave, and ask a local guy beforehand what the going prices are.
As a comparison, 2 years ago one could get a Thai girl for a whole night for 1000 to 1500 Baht. Nowadays it is more like short time for the same money. Or 3000 Baht long time. When using your own currency as a guideline you pay to much. Also it is those -stupid- Japanese who are used to pay outrageous amounts of money back home for sexual pleasures, and don't think twice paying ANYTHING a girl asks of them.
