This is about a very specific part of my trip to Patpong, Phuket. Basically, I had nothing but awesome things to say about Thailand. Well, let me say that Pattong Beach is the place to be in Phuket. It has the best night life, and of course, an abundance of girls just waiting to offer you their services. There are many places offering services, in particular the massage parlors, however I found the Strip Clubs to be more to my liking. In general, to find them, all you have to do is go to the red light district. Down the road where the park, alongside the beach ends. Close to the tourist police. There is a convenience store on the corner. You walk down that street and will surely be amazed by the sight of transvestites striping on the street, almost. They are in a cluster of bars that form alleyways, packed with people. DO NOT PROCEED TO THE NIGHT CLUBS AT THE END OF THE ALLEYS WHERE THERE ARE TRANSVESTITES DANCING. Instead continue, till the next alley, where you will find about 6 strip clubs, full of girls, probably 15 in each place. No cover charges at any of them, and they try to lure you in by advertising these shows. Catch a show or two, if you don't mind some hard core stuff. The girls will proceed to amaze you, with dancing intermissions between the shows. I would recommend to catch a show or to, if you don't mind watching girls stick unusual things in their pussies. They all where numbers, so you can choose the girl you like. Unless the place is full, they will generally approach you and offer you some company, and by buying them a drink for 3-4 USD you can ensure their company for a while. The girls range from about 4-8. Their English is generally limited, but you can definitely get by ok. Most places encourage you to buy the girl you like a drink. They will then, if you seem interested, offer you a choice of services. I was offered a full night of sex, this was at 1 am, for 500 bhat, or 15 USD, without haggling the price. I accepted, as the girl I was with had undergone a good touch and explore game with me in the club. I had some incredible sex that night. She was about 19, and had some experience. I just wish I hadn't waited until my last night there to get laid.
As long as you are pretty fit, and young, you can catch even the hottest girls attention. I lucked out, and my girl kept teasing her friends at the club, with a look what I got, attitude. I spent about 10 days in Phuket in 1995. The best area to visit is Patong Beach area. Seems most of the action and the bars are here.
There is a main street that I believe was called SOI Bangla that most of the bars are on.
The bars are definitely recommended over the massage parlors. Much better selection and cheaper. Bar fines can range from 100B to 400B depending on the location.
There are lots of little stalls (about 10 feet square) and a few bigger establishments. Be careful of a few of the small stalls where the girls are dancing topless outside near the main road. These are 'lady men'. Thai girls are shy (believe it or not) and would not be seen topless in public though some will give a quick flash as they dance on the stage.
The best bar was a play on the Hard Rock theme and was named Rock Hard. It had the biggest selection and was open till about 3:00am. Bar fine was 400B and the girls were 1000 to 1500B. Also, at the Rock Hard, the girls get weekly check ups.
There are also a couple of discos where the girls freelance. Probably a good idea to be a bit more careful here. Near the Rock Hard bar are numerous short stay hotels for about 500B. Long time is 700B.

DENGUE FEVER!!! - AVOID Travelers to Phu Khet please be advised that a pandemic of Dengue Fever is currently sweeping the island. It has been brought in my Burmese labours who provide a cheaper construction work force then their Thai counterparts. Some expats working there have had the disease twice in the last 4 to 6 months. Due to a warmer then normal winter the mosquito population has exploded. Hospitals were full in August 98. (Review # 503)

I recently went to Phuket Island and stayed in Karon Beach, 5 min south of Patong beach. The sex scene there is much less blatant than Patong, which was a nice change of pace. There's a couple massage parlors that are full service, as in most of Thailand. I found a beautiful girl named Pou who stayed with me for two days. There's a line of pick up bars that starts about half way down the beach and extends inland. Anyone can find a girl here. About patong: some people have said on this board that there's only one or two sex massage parlors there. This might be ""officially true"" but there is more pussy in Patong than anywhere I've been.
