Hi fellow mongers. I am a Sri Lankan by birth who resides in Australia and came down to Sri Lanka after 20 years for the Cricket. Lots of Cricket going on in Sri Lanka at the moment, Schools annual big matches and the Aussie tour of Sri Lanka. One has to use the lifts reserved for the residential apartments that is adjacent to the HSBC ATM. when you alight from the lift on the 8th floor, look for apartment number 8/11. It is the first apartment on the right of the passageway when you turn right from the elevator. One will see a brass plaque at the door saying "The Ambassador" "Jem and Jewellers, Authorised money Changer and Internet Lounge Cafe".
Whilst I found no evidence of activity in any of these areas, the place was certainly active in the areas that I was looking for, lol. You got to ring the Bell and stand in front of the peephole. On entering you find your self in the hall of the apartment with a small bar set in the rear of the hall. Karaoke music blares off a 60" screen and the place is decked with comfortable leather sofas and bar stools (around the bar). The interior is well lit and was totally different to what I was expecting to find before I got there. The place was clean and well kept and there was a relaxed atmosphere about the place. The apartment its self was a large two-storey apartment with rooms on both floors.
The mamasan is a sweet old lady who is very friendly and has very good command of the English language, a rarity on both counts in this part of the world. I sat myself down at the Bar and ordered myself a beer ($5) and looked over the talent on display. The girls are all in the hall area either seated or dancing to the music. The place offers mostly Sri Lankan girls and a few Russian girls. There were about 20 Sri Lankan girls on in the place and four Russians when I got there. The Sri Lankan girls were of varying quality ranging large amazons to cute spinners. On the whole the girls ranged from 4 - 9 in looks. The Russians were in the range of 7 - 9. Since I am the kind of person that never rushes into things, I took possession of a bar stool and a good view of the room whilst my friends started to pick their pleasure partner for the night.
One thing that immediately struck me was that the place was completely devoid of pressure from either the mamasan or the girls. The management is quite comfortable to let you take your own time over things. This is a big plus for me after my travels in places like Bangkok and Angeles City in the Philippines. I also did notice that the management don't strictly observe the time limits and let the client have his fill.
