OK boys, you convinced me! I'm off to Manila! I leave on the 27th!!
I'll give you my review when I get back! I will spit up my time as follows:


10 days in Philippines
6 days Singapore/Malaysia (whats the scene like there?)
10 days in Thailand

At least that's what I think now! I'm sure there will be adjustments along the way! We'll see! Anyways I am booked for the first 2 nights in Malate. But haven't given any deposit yet. It seems like the general consensus is that Burgos St. is where all the action is. How far is Malate to Burgos Street?
Did I screw up? Is there anything going on there?

Also anyone know of cheap backpack type "visitor friendly" accomodations, as I am trying to do it on a budget. Thanks!

Sucky: Malate is not so far from Burgos BUT the problem is traffic. It might take you 30 minutes to 1 hour to travel the distance if ur unlucky.
I can advise you on P. Burgos Makati Prime Towes Suites (Kalayaan ave), which are friendly and offer rooms from around 30 euro/s a night, and Oxford Suites (on P Burgos itself), who are I think just a bit up market.

But around P Burgos are enough places to stay for 1500 pesos. On Makati Avenue there is one, i forgot its name, who has a deal for 1499 per night and 1399 for anyone staying more than 10 days.

Don't say that, then you'll get all the "oh but there's nothing to do but fuck women" crowd coming and complaining AC is for fucking women and i've run into way too many guys who would rather be playing golf lately to tell anyone to go to AC and stay there cos it's great.

Sucky i'd suggest you go get a map or find one online (i'm too lazy to google for you) and see where the areas are. Honestly if you're on a budget stay away from makati and just go LA cafe and surrounds in Ermita. AC is one of the cheapest places in PI so you can't go wrong there if you want to fuck lots of women cheaply go to AC and stay there.

well.. I have NOT been to AC, so I am probably saying things I can't back up.. but if you want a REAL GF (not just for the night)..... isn't AC only full of pro's?
I personally like to have a steady GF to do things with (besides screwing b4 sleeping and after sleeping ) and butterfly around a bit on nights I have "business meetings".. catch my drift? But if you only want to see how many different girls you can screw in a week.. I guess AC is the right place for you

Oh you want a real GF? Like one you pick up in one afternoon and she falls so in love with you she is ready to give you her virginity and marry you for nothing more than dinner? come on man. Just about every gogo girl I picked up was in no hurry to leave in fact a fair few stayed all the way till an hour before their bar opened and none expected or were pissed to see me if I didn't give them a huge tip. The ones who did a runner on me (leaving at 8am in the morning after my morning shot instead of the agreed mid day or afternoon) all did so crying. In fact nothing more interesting than telling a girl to go early and her asking "why? you don't like me?". If you're going to be a butterfly do all us guys a favour, tell your real GF first ok no sense in all of us being labelled liars just like you label all pros money grabbing runners. I don't know how real you want to get but I had a travel buddy, translator and sex kitten for 1000pesos a day while I travelled around PI from AC, so I don't know man maybe you are mister short time extraordinaire or you just can't get the girls to fake it good enough for your liking but I, along with many guys I speak to, have nothing but glowing reports about GFE from a lot of AC girls. Ok you will get some bad apples and in general you will work these out because they are in notorious short time bars, are freelancers. The other way you get a bad GFE is if you just can't read well during the interview or act like a moron and don't let her relax once in a while.

There are non-pros in AC, there are girls that work for 80-200 pesos a day serving you breakfast and selling you SIM cards that insist on having a chaperone on dates. AC is a lot bigger than the Balibago Entertainment district. Don't be one of the guys who screws a cherry girl with promises of marriage then dumps her a week later.

I'll leave it there, there are strategies you can use to get freebies in AC or anywhere in PI, in fact there are things you can do to get the pros to open up too, but I have to go now my girls are asking why it's taking so long to reply to their chat messages and why I am not smiling anymore. Even the pros want to feel loved, use that to your advantage.

I do not recommend misleading the girls into thinking there is a relationship.

If you are on vacation and not looking for a wife, then go with a couple of pros until you find the right combination of chemistry, personality, and looks. Then hire her for the remainder of your trip. You will have a gf experience, she will get her money, and everybody will be happy.

MANY of the pros have nice personalities and are a joy to be with.

Be responsible – treat the girls well – insist on getting what you want!

If you are looking for a wife – resist the urge of having sex too quickly because it will cloud your judgment and potentially hurt the girl’s feelings if things do not work out.
