Don't take offence, but this question is asked everyday in every forum Pattaya BKK etc. prices depend on where you stay BKK expensive Pattaya cheaper Korat cheapest (forget Korat unless you speak Thai).
Just do a little reading on these forum pages, not ONLY will your Q be answered, but you will LEARN heaps of OTHER useful stuff.

If you're talking an ago-go, yes. At a handful of the top line places the snow queens will ASK and usually get a little more.
In nearly any beer bar in Pattaya 500 St and 1000 baht Lt will be sufficient to keep them happy.

In the bars in Pattaya or on the street it really should be 500 ST 1000 LT. Go girls have always been greedy and in my estimate are not worth it. Keep the prices down by not paying more. It's plenty of money for them and it gives us more for the airfare.
I agree...the pretty girl that serves you in Burgerking or KFC earns 200 Baht for a 12 hour shift.
You chat to a go-go girl buy Her two or three drinks + barfine your on 1000 baht already. Stop in 7/11 while She puts things in your basket and buy Her food and your on 2000 baht already.
Pay Her 1000-2000 after what amounts to a drunken grope and a shag you can't remember and your on 4000 Baht, that's a Months wages for a Thai tradesman and half a Months for a policeman.
The little bitches have got greedy. After all they are not voluptous and super sexy like a European. Most disapoint when they come out of the darkly lit ago-go and you see where your £60 going to go.
Never yet "HAD" to pay more than 1000Bht LT, Not saying I have not paid more than that because I have. Just make it clear what is pay and what is TIP (for extraordinary service if you like)
Think a lot of these higher prices are sneaking in because ppl are negotiating b4 they even leave the bar or A-gogo.
In my experience TG's do not want to be seen as pro's.Therefore the money is UP TO YOU...........Hell how do you ever get a freebie out of a BG if you have already set the price even b4 getting to your hotel.
Leave it to the next morning...........Let the service given decide what you want to pay. Generally find there will be no argument from the girl, In fact usually the complete opposite and are very grateful

These Girls are not there for "freebies" and if you choose the wrong one to try it with you will get in serious trouble. Seen it first hand last year, had to turn up at my mates apartment after He took a girl from an upstairs go-go in walking street and tried to flog Her off with money that wasn't enough. I agree with Rocky. Always best to negotiate the price first. You could be letting yourself in for a nasty revenge if you don't. I've heard some nasty stories. It's not worth trying to save money by waiting until after the deed until you decide how much you're going to pay. You wouldn't save that much anyway by Western standards.
On the subject of going rates and negotiating first, I'd never paid more than 1000 until the last time I was in Bangkok last January. I met a girl on Sukhumvit who gave me the usual "up to you." As hard as I tried I couldn't pin her down to a price. I got around it by telling that she would have to catch a taxi in the morning and to tell me how much that would be. That seemed easy for her. She said 2000 baht. We then agreed on 1700. So I got the security of knowing how much I was going to pay, although it was well over what I wanted to.
I also decided that I didn't want to spend anymore time in Bangkok and got a minibus to Pattaya the next day, where I never paid more than 1000 and where I should have headed straight for in the first place. Bangkok is so much more expensive these days, and I imagine that Pattaya may follow suit before much longer. I hope not. Give the girl in Bangkok her due though. On her way out the next morning, she joked that I must think taxis are very expensive in Bangkok.
On positive note, when I first went to Thailand in 89 and, for a few years after that, too I was paying 500 baht for a long time. So inflation over 16 years is not bad at all. Or was I getting ripped off back then?
Whatever, paying more than 1000 would really take the sheen off it for me. I'm not a khiniaow. I just want to pay the right market price for the goods. No matter what Thais say to your face, they you're a stupid falang if you throw your money around.
In Pattaya and Bangkok gogos 2 weeks ago the girls were asking 2000Baht minimum.
In Some gogos like Superbaby the girls were asking 2500 Baht.
Its bloody daft now
