It is considered offensive now in the UK, although the term "paki shop" meaning family run corner shop was not offensive twenty years ago. The term "paki" however refers to anyone from the subcontinent including Indians and Bangladeshi's, not just people from Pakistan. so using it on here could be considered rude and confusing.
