    Scored twice in "Zone One"

I was in Siem Reap last month and offer the following. My tour guide was a young single guy who knew the local hooker scene. He offered to take me to the clubs that the locals patronize, where tourists don’t go. We went to Zone One; as soon as we sat down an older woman came over and spoke to my guide. Almost immediately two babes came over and the matron said “pick one.” It was a tough choice; they were both solid 8s. The rate was $65 for the night, which I paid to the matron. She came to my hotel and we had a nice time and she spent the night.

The next night I was ambivalent about another session. I was feeling satiated, but we went back to the same club. If I didn’t see someone extraordinary, I would pass. This time the matron paraded four babes in front of me. Again, all looked good. I asked if anyone spoke English, and one immediately started jabbering in English. There was something about her that was very appealing, so she was my choice. She turned out to be 30 years old, which accounted for her appeal. She was experienced and more sophisticated, and provided a great time. I told her about my screwy schedule the next day – my last one. I had to check out of my hotel by 2:00 pm but I wasn’t going to the airport until 9:00 pm. Sooo, the next afternoon, we went to a love hotel, I paid $10 for the room, spent the afternoon together, then went to dinner. A great end to my trip!

never been Cambo, but it seems from reading other threads, you paid almost 3X the going rate as what you would get a FL at a bar
besides, I wonder if those girls are there by their choice, or there due to deception?
Is really prudent/moral to support this establishment if the girls are there due to some kind of trafficing or whatever? I think not. I dont claim to know the total score in that part of the world but I have heard it goes on there.

    Slicky
It is unwise to speculate unless you have a firm grasp of the facts, especially when addressing contentious issues such as trafficking/bonded labour.

    1) The Farang hostess scene is different in Siem Reap , I agree that $65 is expensive but not by the degree that you indicate, my guess is that $30-40 would be about right and that the extra was commision to the guide.
    2) The establishment is a bar/club not a brothel, not saying that it is a dream job for the girls employed there but no reason to assume that they are forced to work against their will.
    3) There are trafficking / underage issues issues in Cambodia but broadly speaking these involve local brothels , by and large you will avoid these problems in Farang bars.

Yes. I often wonder how I would survive in SEA without the tour guides/tuk tuk drivers etc offering to relieve me of my scouting duties. I am so impressed that complete strangers should want to do me a favour. Seriously though, he probably earned more from the commission than he did from the guiding.

Hee Yeh , we all get caught out though
I got stung for $40 in a Siem Reap fishbowl , reckon that half that went to the tuk tuk driver !
Wised up the next night , just as my mum always advised I asked a policeman ( It was my birthday and I was very very drunk ) 2 girls ( from a choice of about 20 ) takeaway to my room cost $32 total including $1 tip each for the tuk tuk guy and the policeman

You just reminded me about the Working Girls around Soho, who would often say, "Don't forget to tip the Maid". I can visualise them being in Cam: "Don't forget to tip the Copper".

My own particular tale of being 'done over' in Cam was at the Airport, where I had to pay the Visa fee twice. My own fault. I had read that when you are at the Visa desk, don't show any signs of money to avoid being charged twice, and didn't recall this until I was asked to pay again, and realised that I had handful of US dollars on display.
