(if that is true it would be almost the same style as in the philippines, so even though it sounds stupid it could very well be true).

so it´ts between buying and selling rates of he exchange huts. And 4000 Dalasi; is
round 100 €; stupid. I don´t wanna go so many times to that fucking machine.

No I dont believe that. But I believe that it is possible that a local exchange office (bank or moneychanger), may be able to give a better rate if there are restrictions on foreign currency like there is in the philippines. In philippines it is possible to get a better rate at several moneychangers in manila (this is normally not true outside of manila).

the ATMs are a rip off in Gambia. i only use them as a standby!!!!!!!
i have found it best to take cash as there is no problem changing it.
the hotels are reasonably secure if you use the room safe or if you have your own Pacsafe, ( thanks for tip on that one Stevie G)
In january we got 47.5 from exchange office near the tours place with the big ex military truck parked out side going towards monkey park when you come out of Sarges.
the other offices were giving 47 so no big deal, the Euro was accepted at all these places.

Greetings all, got myself a hotel room at Palm beach hotel Kotu, I have a single room although it has a double bed .

Now I presume I am going to have great dificulty taking girls back so the plan is to stay the first night tthen take a look around for a little guest house.

Any ideas guys?? was thinking of somewhere on the cheap, 500 to 600 Dal.

No I did not, he never showed up. Tried to call him, but his phone was off. Also tried to text him, but no reply. Anyway, forget about Gambia, there are not many chicks around, most are hardcore from other countries only a few lookers. There are more guys than girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gambia is an ok place for a small vacation, nothing more (too many people trying to irritate and cheat you, I can spot them from miles away, but it is still annoying and they dont want to give up). Sure you can make friends with a few locals and get some local girls..........but, it is just too much work. Not worth the hassle.

Thats all folks....move on, nothing to see here, simple as that. I am not trying to tell people not to go to gambia, please do... then I can go to the countries where all the chicks are, and have them all to my self :-)
