    Swissguy....

My advice would be to drive up to Stockton or Lodi. They are both north of Modesto and not too far to drive. Just go north on I-5 or Highway 99.

    Good Luck!

    Spike out...

    Unhappy Stockton Stings

Info current as of early April, 2005

Rape Suspect Runs When Spotted During Prostitution Sting
Stockton police officers were on the street Wednesday cracking down on prostitution when a rape suspect they'd been looking for went right to them.

Police thought the man was just another potential customer. After he negotiated with the undercover officer who was posing as a prostitute, he returned to his car to wait for her. Just as other police moved in to cite him, another woman walked up and claimed the man raped her last week. Then, as she began describing the incident in detail, he took off. Officers chased him down an alley, and when they caught him they discovered he is the man they had been looking for.

"We've got substantial information linking him to a crime," said Sgt. Ken Praegitzer. "He left his cell phone at the scene, and we traced it back, and it's his."

Police say the suspect gave them a false name. They are trying to determine his real identity.

The arrest occurred during a crackdown on Stockton's prostitution problem, which police say is getting worse.

"They're younger girls, average age is 18 or 19. [...]" said Praegitzer.

On Wednesday police went after the customers of prostitutes to send a message that they can be caught, too. Police cited about 20 men.

Swiss guy, try this link. Modesto is hit and miss, there are lots of providers in Sacramento or over in the Bay area. Good luck.

Angry Lodi is starting to suck

Regarding Lodi...going to Lodi might have been good advice at one time, but now Lodi is starting to suck. Here are the details.

    Illegal activity targeted
Massage parlors that are 'fronts for prostitution' not welcome in Lodi
    By Matt Brown
    January 4, 2007

Owners of massage parlors in Lodi are now faced with a choice — clean up your establishment or take your business elsewhere.

The City Council passed an ordinance designed to regulate a handful of local massage parlors, which city officials have labeled "houses of prostitution."

Lodi Police Sgt. Steven [My Ass Has A] Price reviews the additions to the ordinance discussing local massage parlors, during a City Council meeting Wednesday night. (Angelina Gervasi/News-Sentinel)The ordinance requires, among other things, that all massage technicians be licensed and fully clothed, and prohibits them from massaging a patron's genitals. In addition, patrons must have their genitals covered at all times.

[What if I can't find a covering big enough?]

Sgt. Steven Price, of the Lodi Police Department's Special Investigations Unit, said he has found condoms and sexual devices during raids of massage parlors.

"The masseuses have been found to be partially clothed or fully nude," he said. "Nudity is unnecessary to perform a massage."

Price said there are eight massage parlors suspected of illegal activity among Lodi's roughly 25 spas and massage establishments. City Manager Blair King said the ordinance was not designed to target legitimate spas.

"The Police Department wants to target the thinly veiled establishments that are not massage," King said.

Lodi Chamber of Commerce President Pat ["Patty"] Patrick said he supported the ordinance except for one section that requires the interior doors of an establishment to be unlocked during operating hours. He said sole proprietors giving a massage would be vulnerable to intruders if they aren't allowed to lock the doors. [Yeah, asshole, look at what's going down in Ventura]

A handful of legitimate spa operators attended the council meeting to support the ordinance. Diana Bean, whose daughter, Brandi Steiger, is the sole proprietor of an establishment, asked the council to take out the section requiring unlocked doors.

"I tell (my daughter) to lock the door," Bean said. "I won't have her mugged, raped or abused."

The ordinance, which passed by a 3-1 vote, will take affect 30 days after the second reading at a later council meeting. Councilwoman Susan Hitchcock was absent and Mayor Bob Johnson voted against the ordinance because it included the unlocked door requirement.

Proposed massage parlor ordinance at a glance
    • Massage establishment operators must file an application with the Police Department and undergo an investigation prior to obtaining a permit.
    • No massage technician shall massage the genitalia of any patron.
    • No massage technician shall be in a room with a patron unless the technician and patron's genitalia and female breasts are fully covered.
    • All massage establishments are required to have a manager on the premises at all times.
    • No operator shall employ any person as a massage technician who does not have a valid massage technician's permit.
    • No establishment shall have on the premises, any pornographic material, condoms or other sexual devices.
    • All employees of any massage establishment must be a U.S. citizen or lawful resident.
    • Each operator shall post a list of services available and no technician shall offer to perform any service other than those posted.
