Was in jakarta in January. The scene in decline. The bars and clubs are quiet with just a few high mileage whores to play with. As regards the malls its possible but you could waste time on girls on girls who want to play the dating game. There's also a risk of making an arse of yourself.
My recommendation would be Club Melawi in Blok m to try and find a girlfriend for the night. Or 6th floor of Hotel Melawi next door for 1 hour massage etc.
