Pic taking situation at Barba Negra

I know video is not allowed. Just wondering if the policy on pics has changed much. I haven't been in 4 years and would like to add to my portfolio.

Last time I was at BB there were pleanty of people taking pics. It seemed normal. Lots of pics being taken at the bar and poolside. You can also talk to the chica about taking pics when you are with her in private.

As for video goes if you have a digital camera that takes videos just act like you taking a pic and they wont know. No one has ever said anything or been asked not to as far as I know.

Please update with a trip report when you get back if you don't mind. I'm planning a trip for early next year at BB.

I went to a couple Bikini contests and they made it clear only photos, no video. Don't know how they can tell or what it matters but this is what they said. The general rule of thumb still holds true, you'd better have pretty clear permission to post a pic online or prepare for whatever may come your way. Most don't mind, some do ....but the management there has to manage some descretion with respect to online posting as well. It's one place that hasn't been ruined or shut down yet. Why push the envelope when so much is going negative with respect to P4P in the D.R.

My wingman was there in Feb of this year and said he didn't have any issues with the photos. I'm just trying to get some different perspectives from guys.

I know very well why management may allow picture taking but not video filming. These femi-nazis and even some guys sympathic to the femi-nazi cause (I saw this video on YouTube by some guy talking about the scene in DR like he was Anderson Cooper or something) go to place and take video of the scenes. The narrative is that the girls involved are always being exploited by sex tourists and even locals and they use this video evidence to present to the country governmental officials to force a crackdown on that scene. So I would respect the no video restriction and just have fun as one can never tell if the person taking the video is a true monger or a femi-nazi in mongers clothing.

Regarding the chicas, pics at Bikini Contest, bar, dinner, etc. are not a problem.
More explicit pics, ie, in the room, nude, etc. should be done with the girl's permission.
She actually would have legal basis to go after you for posting or disseminating without her permission.

Aside from the reasons already mentioned, the REAL reason the BB management wants no videos, etc, is the possible compromise of the guests.
Backgrounds of the Bikini Contest are all males who would not want their wives, children, bosses, co-workers who would like to destroy them etc, to see them at Blackbeards
Faces in photos can be blacked out/blurred. Not so easy with videos.

Just common sense. All guests want discretion and anonymity, you don't need to burn fellow guests by being careless.
