Kota Kinabalu hotels and resorts

I will be touring Kota Kinabalu next month, just confirmed my flights on line. I've read the threads but have not found any really good info on hotels and resorts around the city.

Can anyone who has been to or is presently in Kota Kinabalu and the surrounding areas inform me of any good hotels with decent rooms and services (I mean hotel services not girl services, cuz I'll be researching that real soon) and also any nice resorts for scuba diving and other water sports? I would really really appreciate names, location, prices, and perhaps ur personal star ratings.

Much appreciated, and ofcourse I will post all of my trip reports after I have been and back from Kota Kinabalu.

i think you should try sutera harbour ,that have very good room and service and got all kind of water sports.......or you can try the le meridien hotel in the city centre.......there far from city got resort karambrunai....you can try there......
