rav1234: I guess this sort of a thing is pretty common in N. Delhi. Especially when the pimp or the hired muscle knows that you are from out of town, they usually try to pull a fast one on you.

What I think you could have done in that situation is called up the pimp and told her that the girl has not been informed about the deal between you and the pimp and when the message is conveyed sternly, most of them comply. In some extreme cases, they might put the pressure back on you in which case it is better to let go.

As a preventive action for the future, it is always better to reiterate the agreed terms and conditions with the worker prior to payment so that they dont pull a fast one on you.
