Angeles City: A Beginner's/Newbie's Guide/F.A.Q.s

Okay … as a service to the group, I’m doing my own version of Angeles City Frequently Asked Questions (F.A.Q.s).

Newbies: Beware … if you do not read this before you start asking questions or you ask something that is already mentioned in this thread, prepare for ABUSE!

HOTELS:
This is an incredibly complicated topic. The best thing is to read other opinions posted in this forum, check out this website (http://balibago.org/ -- suddenly suspended/offline since 11/12/10 - let's see if it comes back) and visit some of the hotel websites.

There are probably about 100+ hotels in and around Angeles City anywhere from right in the Fields Ave, to various distances away. Just like women, everyone’s taste varies. You have to just check them out or take a recommendation from someone you know. In many cases, be prepared for more primitive accommodations, musty smells, form-rubber mattresses, and even cockroaches (in some of the lower-end options).

Personally, I can recommend the moderately priced Clarkton, but there are many others like it that are surely good as well. The Clarkton is clean, has very friendly, reliable staff, has its own in-house go-go bar, has a great restaurant, has a big pool and offers a free shuttle down to Fields Ave. from 6PM to 3:00AM.

On the upper end, I’ve heard good things about the Lewis Grand and the ABC Hotel.

I’ve also stayed at the moderately-priced Donald Paul Apartelle. It had a pleasant staff, a courtyard swimming pool and a nice location four blocks from Fields and about two blocks from MacArthur Highway. Steve, the current owner and founder, is a bit eccentric (monkeys and birds all over the place) and anything he promises you, you should be get writing.

On the lower/discount end, I’ve often heard that some of the standards are Sunset Inn, Hana Hotel, and even the Brass Knob.

BARS:
This is very abbreviated and just based on my own experience, tastes and preferences.
***Big bars: Doll House, Club Atlantis, Crystal Palace, Blue Nile, etc.
Big selection of girls 30-40+ on stage. Bar fines any where from 3000 to 1500php. Not much of a personal feeling.
**Medium bars: Alaska Club, Honey Pot, La Pasha, Eager Beaver, etc.
Normally 10-20 girls on stage. Bar fine: 1300-1500php. A little more cozy.
*Small bars: Avec Bar, One Eyed Wench, etc.
Normally 5-10 girls on stage. Bar fine: 1200-1300php. Cozy, limited selection, but sometimes they “try harder”.
*BJ bars: Gobbles, Shadows, Black Pearl, Heaven, Nifty’s, etc.
Mostly on Santos Street. No “dancers”, just hostesses sitting there calling to guys on the street to come in and have a drink. For about 700php “short time” you can take a girl into one of their dingy, dark backrooms and normally get a very satisfying bj, if you can get past the surroundings. Be careful not to slip on the sticky floors. You can also take the girl back to your room for short time or long time.
*Perimeter bars: Lost In Asia, Peanuts, Matrix Brawn, etc.
Often considered one of the most unappreciated parts of Angeles City. These bars running west of Fields along Perimeter Road are often quite nice. The girls don’t tend to be top quality, yet there are plenty of gems here. Prices are cheaper. Bar fine normally is 1100-1200php, with a few exceptions.

BAR FINE:
It’s pretty simple. When you find a girl you want to take home, you ask her how much the barfine is. Normally, her mamasan will come confirm with you that you want to bar fine the girl and what the price is. You fork over the money, your girl goes and changes into her street clothes and she’s theoretically yours for the evening.
PLEASE NOTE: (1) Before barfining a girl, be sure to be clear with her about what you want (blowjob, intercourse, anal, etc.) and make sure she clearly agrees to what you want. (2) Make sure she is not a “cherry girl” if you want anything more than a blowjob. (3) Be sure to ask her if she is on her period (menstruation or “mens”) and whether she is able to stay till morning.
TIP: I do this in the morning as she is departing. I normally offer between 100-500php depending on her performance and whether I can still walk.
Cost: On Fields, anywhere from 3000-1500php normally. On Perimeter, 1400-1100 depending on the bar.

I’ve typed enough for now. I will edit and add to this post later and as comments come in from other experienced members here. It is a work in progress, so ask questions and make comments. Just be sure to be diplomatic/kind. I'm trying to do a favor for everyone who has had to put up with repeated newbie questions.

Later I’ll add information about getting to AC from Manila, as well as from Clark/Diosdado Macapagal International Airport, and other information that others think should be added. What else should we include?

However, my humble opinion about one specific point is different from yours:

BAR FINE:

My opinion is, before BFning a girl the most important thing (actually - the ONLY important thing) is spending some time, chatting up the girl and making sure you two "click". Inerviews, promises, agreements - these all mean very little. No matter what she promisses you, in the end of the day - if she feels comfortable with you and respects you enough - she willmake you feel good; if she doesn't - she won't, regardless of anything she might have said and promised.

Please note - you personally strike me as the kind of dude who understands it all and does it anyway, and maybe it comes so natural and obvious to you, you don't even bother the explain the obvious; which is perfectly fine.

However, some newbies who don't know the game and / or lack the natural attitude, might be led to believe it's enough to howel down a dancer and start interviweing her straight away on whether she blows or agrees to CIMs or whatever... which, I believe, is completely wrong.

In your case the girls did perform well - however, I'm sure they would have done the same even without any negotiations. I'd even say, they were performing well not thanks to the negotiations - but despite the negotiations...

I know my opinion isn't shared by all - but that's how it;s been working for me, so there it is - for whatever it's worth...

Most barfines will cost anywhere from 1000-1200php at the Perimeter bars to 1300-3000php at the Fields Ave bars.

It is important to point out that although you can pick out a girl in a bar and ask to barfine her, that doesn’t guarantee that she will accept the barfine or that she will provide good service.

If you treat a bargirl like a bargirl or a “piece of meat”, you probably won’t have a satisfying experience. What can go wrong? First of all, the bargirl has the option to refuse your barfine offer. They are not obligated to accept. Or, they could accept, but then spend the rest of the night giving you excuses, like “I have my period,” or “I’m tired,” or “I have to go help my sick mother” … blah, blah, blah.

Here are a few good things to do when you see a girl who you think you would like to barfine:
(1) Make eye contact. Smile at her. See if she returns the smile. Does she keep “checking you out”? If she returns your smile, acts a little shy, or anything that involves repeated or continued eye contact, she’s probably interested.
(2) Invite her for a lady drink. Point her out to your waitress or a mamasan and ask if you can buy her a drink. More than likely, she will be sitting next to you in a snap. Most girls will be wearing a number so that you can easily point out which one you’re interested in. (In most bars, the waitresses are available for lady drinks and barfines, too, and in many cases actually get barfined more than the dancers. Often, waitresses speak better English and have better “people skills”.)
(3) Talk to her and try to build a rapport. Ask about her, where she’s from, how old she is, if she had kids, if so, ask about her kids, family, etc. This will help you determine what her English abilities are and will help her feel more comfortable with you. Remember, if the girl feels comfortable with you … or even attracted to you … you’re likely to have a better experience with her. So, be kind, be chivalrous. ROMANCE her and make her feel special.
If she’s not what you want, thank her for sitting with you and start looking for the next girl.
(4) Clarify the basics. If you want to barfine her, you want to clarify what you want to do. Yeah, it doesn’t seem very romantic, but be sure to ask whisper in her ear or otherwise clarify what you want: “Do you like doing blowjob? Do you like boom-boom (intercourse)? Can you stay all night/till morning?” … and so on. Don’t be afraid to ask. If she acts surprised, then she’s not the girl for you, probably.
(5) Make the transaction. If she answers everything right and you want to take her with you, ask her how much her barfine is. Normally there is no bargaining on barfine amount (as far as I know), so if the amount is acceptable, just let her know you’d like to barfine her. She’ll take it from there. (Probably she’ll call the mamasan. The mamasan will confirm with you that you want to barfine her and then take your money. The girl will disappear for a while to change into her street clothes and turn in her bargirl ID, etc. Then, she’ll show up and be ready to go with you.)
NOTE ABOUT BARFINES: Approximately 40-50% of the total barfine will to go the girl whenever she gets her regular salary. The rest goes to the bar and mamasan. The same goes for lady drinks.
(6) Go have fun! If everything has gone according to plan, she is your girl for the night. What you do now is up to you. Some guys like to go barhopping with their new girl, either going to other go-go bars or to a music venue like Skytrax, Phillies, RnB, or other such places. Some guys like to go shoot pool. Others prefer to take a girl out for a quiet dinner so they can romance them more and get to know them better. Or, of course, you can take her right back to the room and let the fun begin.
WARNING: When you take your girl back to your room, just to be safe, be sure to lock up all your valuables and money. Most good rooms have a safe or other place where you can lock things up. Most girls won’t rob you, but it is far better not to take a chance.
(7) Afterwards / Tipping. After you’re done with the girl, whether that be right after sex or after cuddling/sleeping till morning, most guys like to tip their girl. This is a personal thing and a source of controversy here on the forum, so it is up to you if you tip and how much you tip. It has been thoroughly discussed here on the forum, so you decided for yourself. Also, some guys like to take a girl to breakfast/lunch afterwards, or even shopping over at SM Clark, particularly if you think you want to have a temporary or permanent girlfriend relationship.
If you want to see her again, maybe without the barfine, be sure to get her cell phone number.

Go to your home bank and tell them you will be traveling overseas and exactly where you will be using your Credit cards and debt cards what dates they should let the transactions you make go thru. Locate 3-5 ATM at your vacation location so you know where they are not everyone works at all times. Lets assume the barfine was 1500pesos.

1. If the girl pleases you and stays until morning what amount would form a fair tip for her?? what amount would be a good tip for her? (do these amounts tend to relate to the level of barfine? i.e. in the more expensive clubs do the girls expect more in tip?).

2. If you take the girl to other girly bars with you do her drinks cost the same as yours (i.e. not classed as lady drinks?). Are you expected to pay any entrance fee for the girl with you?

MONEYSHOTPA- i know this girl that lives in angeles , shes been living there for many years , last nite i was chatting her and she told me that lots of bars have closed , no customers . can you confirm that. i know when i was in angeles a couple years ago i went to lots of bars , 99% of the time i was the only customer in the bar. other times ther were one or two other customers, these bars were all perimiter bars. i was in them different times of the day and nite. myself i think its the bad economy , guys don't have the money to go to the philippines , last time i went to phils , i paid for a round trip from the u.s.a. on continental from houston , tx. $1,049.00 total price. now its $1,500.00 or more. 99% of the bars in AC have raised there prices + all the hotels have raised there prices. one time when i was in AC the peso was 50 pesos to a dollar , i think it 43 pesos now to a dollar .
