I'm going to Mombassa in 2 days , and I've got a dental abcess , which I've had now for 3 weeks , and on my 3rd course of Antibiotics , which are not curing the problem .

I may be forced into having a tooth removed while in Mombassa , not looking forward to it , 3rd world country , haveing any kind of Blood related treatment is very scary

any words of advice guys , ?

I was in a few hospitals; worse. Then i went to the recommended Mombasa
    Hospital near the Fort/Government.
They have all; for sure also a dentist. All looked clean and the nurses and
    doctors were helpful. Prices FAIR
Avoid the doctors in town; never again

    Cheers
    13.03-12.04 in Mtwapa

    Dentist

There is an Indian dentist inside the Nakumatt complex. Good and modern
equipment, very competent guy. The most expensive one of Mombasa,
but still 30 - 40% of European prices. Anyway, good for first consultation
    that one is not expensive.
Otherwise an other Indian dentist in Mombasa, Dr Patel. As I remember he is
located at Mombasa General Hospital. Also competent. Tariffs 30 - 40%
cheaper than the dentist at Nakumatt.

Cheers guys , so far so good , I've not had any more probs ,
I did get some more Antibiotics from the shop next to Cheers bar , ( Amoxicillin , 400 shillings ) and took them for 5 days , and that combined with the filling I got 4 days before I left the UK seems to have done the trick

thanks again for all your time and advice.
