I have recently returned from a one week working stay in Sofia. The scene is very safe, the pimps are not interested in robbing you but it is best to limit the amount of cash you carry. For a fee any taxi driver will be able to take you to a selection of apartments where you can choose a girl for an hour. you can either take the girl into a bedroom in the flat or take her to your own accommodation. Check with the Madam if your hour starts at the hotel or when she leaves the flat with you. If you arrange your own apartment visit by using one of the many phone numbers obtainable from the local paper or a leaflet that you can pick up at the Velvet Strip Bar you should be able to negotiate a price of about 75 Leva for the hour. A taxi driver will ask you for 100 Lv ... If the girl goes with you you will have to give her 5-10 Lv for the fare back.
The Peep Show at Lovov Most has a good driver (Big George 0887968435) who has taken me to some interesting places.
A street girl will give you an hour for 40-50Lv but be wary of them. If you go to there room you will be asked for 10Lv towards her rent and if the come to your hotel the make straight for the minibar and anything eles you leave lying about.

Go to a hotel lobby and ask for the Sofia City guide.
In this little booklet you will find interesting info, including
tel nbrs and addresses of escort services and nightclubs (Velvet , Erotic Bar in Hemus hotel etc).
If you call for a girl you they often bring you 2 to your hotel or appartment so you can choose.
You can also ask to have 2 brought to you.
I suggest you discuss on the spot with the girl what you want

Definitely go to the Velvet Stripclub. It is near the Hotel Rodina. I went there last summer and was told it was 100 LEV (about $66 U.S. Dollars) for a stripper to come back to your room with you.
Avoid the stripclub in the Hotel Rodina, it is a ripoff.

I'm just back from Sofia and I can tell you my experience:

I booked a girl on an escort web site from Italy for 300 Euros overnight. I arrived in Sofia on Thursday morning and I called the bitch to confirm our date for the evening to take a look of her and meet the day after. She said me that have to study because she had an university examination for Saturday morning and that was better for her to see me directly Saturday afternoon.
