For those of you who have walked around the streets of Nairobi , you must have been suprised at how strip clubs have sprung all over. There is also sell of locally made porn shot in shady backstreets and is sold for about sh.1500-2000 per CD ( $15-30). I didnt buy any myself but had a Chance to do business(clean business) with the owner of one of the strip club called Apple Bees when I was in Kenya. The guy was formely staying here is the US and exported the Idea in Kenya and it has been a Gold mine for him.
I came accross some article in another forum and I thought I should share with SSC about this new trend given that this is a $60 Billion global industry that cant be ignored. Here is how it went:-
Data such as as per internet pornography download data and shipping data and logistics from DHL,FedEx and UPS no country in Africa comes close to the Total shipment of Porn DVD videos and Magazines than Kenya.Already the biggest consumer of online adult entertainment in Africa is Kenya even though Kenya has one of the slowest download speed in the world. An average of 3.57 people per 100 broadband subscribers pay for porn in Kenya.(Kenya also leads in porn consumption among the general population at the Internet cafes licensed or not.

Well, the question is...Does this sin industry thing work??we have had countries like Thailand and some places in europe where its sin industry has fired up tourism leading to billions of dollars in this Oldest trade known to man. Is the sin industry right given the liberal nature Africa is becoming in the backdrop of diseases like HIV?
