    Pattaya Hotel Info

I am going to Pattaya for three days. After reading some reviews I narrowed down three Hotels 1) Penthouse Hotel 2) Welcome Plaza and 3) Natural- Beach- Hotel. I prefer a quite place with sea view and balcony, however availablity of girls is also important. I have four questions 1) Is Penthouse too noisy? 2) What is the going rate of the girls in the Kitten club (or other nearby go-go's) for all night 3) Do welcome Plaza have balcony with sea view? 4)If I do stay at Welcome Plaza or Natural-beach how far is the pattaya land, can I walk or do I need a taxi? Thanks in advance.

    Info on Pattaya

Penthouse hotel is to loud in my opinion. It's located in the heart of pattayaland. I've used it before but only as a short time orgy room. If you go to their website http://www.penthousehotel.com/ you can see that's how it's built with swings , whips, chains, etc. all over the rooms. They even have a closed circuit TV that lets you view LIVE the girls at kittens go go.

There our at lest 100 other go go's in Pattaya besides Kitten's . Is there a particular reason you need to go to that club?

You will be staying for only 3 days my recommendation is that you just book a hotel for one night then if you like stay if not move. If Pattaya Land is the place you want to spend most of your time then there are about 25 -40 other hotels within walking distance ( 5 mins) of that area.

I'm guessing this is your first time to Pattaya You can get to pattayaland and more importantly Walking Street from 80% of the hotels for 10 baht and 10 mins or less in travel time.

The penthouse has a no guest policy. The others you mentioned i have not heard of . You need to make sure you book your room for Double occupancy and they allow "guests" this is important if you plan on bringing girls back to your room. If you don't confirm this you may book a hotel that will charge you every time you bring a girl to your room or worse doesn't allow it at all.

The going rate for go go girls is from 400 - 600 bar fine. to 1000 - 1500 baht short time. 1500 - 2000 baht long time. However you can cut all those prices in 1/2 by just going to the bars , clubs, or getting freelancers..

    Hope this helps

BTW Do you have any info on Hong Kong? I'm doing 2 days there b4 i go to Pattaya for my 2 week vacation .

I stayed at the Pattaya Centre Hotel on Soi 11 when I was there. I stayed in a Jr Suite for about $30 a night. They have cheaper rooms but I was in the mood to spend money. Plus I wanted a big room for my occasional orgy night. No balcony but the hotel was nice and the location is pretty good too.

The mall is about a 5 minute walk away and you can pick up girls there for little or nothing. Buy them a meal from Mickey D's or Burger King or any of the food places inside and take them back to the room for a quick hit. Pizza Hut is in walking distance as well. The walking street is about a 5-8 minute walk away but for a little change you can jump on the back of a taxi like my lazy ass did. The go-go bars and beer bars are everywhere but not too close to the hotel so it's nice and quiet when you're getting over your daily hangovers.

There is no fee for taking the girls to your room. They just need an ID card to leave at the desk and everything is cool. They all know the game so they all have ID. You don't even have to be with them when they come to see you. The guy/girls at the desk will call you and let you know they are downstairs and ask you if you want them to let them up. If you say no, they tell the girl to leave. Everyone in the hotel is nice and they can even pick you up and drop you off at the airport. I can remember the price but it wasn't that expensive. I'll definitely use them again. Here's the website.

I just looked at the hotels website and they do have rooms with balconies. I didn't see them when I was there, but then again I wasn't looking.

mrtbkk, conartist2004: Thanks goes to both of you for all the info. I am definitely not looking for a Penthouse style environment, just a small quite clean place. I will make a reservation with Pattaya Central. One more question: I am arriving BKK at 5:30 p.m. and there is a Bangkok Airways Bus leaves at 7:00 p.m. If I miss that bus what will be the other option. How far is Ek-ha-mi bus termial from airport?
mrtbkk: I never went to HK so do not know the situation there.
Thanks again guys for all the info.

If you miss the buss you can always take a Taxi for about 800 baht to pattaya as far as the Ekanami Bus Station it's about an hour or so away from the airport then you take an aircon buss for i believe 90 baht to pattaya that trip lasts about 2 hours plus if memory serves me right... I stayed at Pattaya Center hotel A couple years ago it's one of the larger hotels in Pattaya. Nothing special but i would be sure to ask them about guest policies as i've heard they change them from time to time.

    Biplabc,
You also want to make sure that your hotel has a swimming pool. Pattaya bay isn't really suitable for swimming and believe me, the word "hot" does not even begin to describe the weather in Pattaya during the daytime...

If you do decide to take a taxi to Pattaya make sure the taxi is ready to leave at that very moment. They'll want you to pay up front for the cab and if it's not ready to go beacuse of rides given to other passengers they'll want you to wait in a waiting room. I talked to a few people there that waited from 10 minutes up to an hour and a half. I paid for a taxi, found out that I have a little over an hour wait and went to get my money back. I walked around for about 5 minutes asking other cab drivers if they were ready to go NOW and when I found one I left within minutes. I'm not sure about the bus ride. I did see busses dropping people off in Pattaya but I didn't ask how long the wait at the airport was and how long it took them to get there. Good luck.

I will be in Pattaya in late October (1st time) and my return trip is really early in the morning out of BKK. How is it trying to take a taxi for a 7 AM flight out of BKK on a weekday? Are taxis running that early in the morning? I'm guessing I'll need to depart at 3-4 AM. Thanks.

Taxi's run 24/7 over there. If you see a driver just tell him ahead of time or book a driver with your hotel or another hotel. Money makes the world go 'round in Thailand. You very seldom hear the word "no" over there. Good luck!!!

Hey, abnranger11b, much of the info the fellas have already provided are pretty accurate. Depending on the time you arrive and how much money you want to spend you can either take a cab or a bus. Cabs are more comfortable, but more expensive. I think the last time I was there it was approx. 2000 Baht, including the toll which you have to pay yourself. Or, you can take a short cab ride to the Ekamai bus station, and for as little as 90 to 100 Baht you get an air-con bus to Pattaya. The drive time for both cab and bus is roughly the same (2 hours) with the bus taking a little longer (obviously). Once in Pattaya, you will have to take another taxi/scooter from the bus station to your hotel. Here's where it gets a little tricky, because if you don't have a hotel (name, address, etc) it's pretty difficult to communicate where to go with the taxi driver. Best bet is to have a hotel already booked, and have the info to pass along to the taxi when you get to the Pattaya bus station. Evertyhing else should be pretty simple, bro. Take care of yourself, and enjoy T-land

abnranger11b: What I understand is first try ThiAir bus from Terminal 2 to Pattaya (200 bath) if you do not get it then take a cab ride to Ekamai bus station (not sure how much it will cost) and take a bus to Pattaya from there. They run every 30 min as far as I found out. Anybody have any idea how much the taxi will cost from Airport to bus terminal?

Conartist, Pur_See, and biplabc--thanks for all the great info!

One more question to the group: I booked a room for TWO ADULTS, BUT...I booked it for the Marriott in Pattaya. Unfortunately, I did this BEFORE reading mixed reviews about it being "guest friendly" or not. Does anyone know if I will have difficulty bringing in "guests" at the Marriott Pattaya even though I have booked a room for 2 adults? Thanks!

    abnranger11b,

I've had friends stay there when the Navy was in down and had no problem and I've also had friends stay they that had to pay 800 baht per girl , per visit. Plus they had to also feel out some waiver. They got the rooms for free so the 800 baht was no problem to them... IMO I'd go with the reviews that said you will more than likely have a hard time bringing girls into the Marriot.
