Expensive at Rmb 850,
but the facilities are 5 star....and very very posh...and huge.

In fact i am not from china. Thus it is quite difficult to find the places unless you get tips or location from fellow mongerers or friends. How do you find the service from Bao'An hotel? Does it have red rope thing?
Ramblaster, Bao An hotel, on Dongfeng Lu, and Weifeng Lu. Just behind the large Supreme Tower, or Mincheng Gardens Hotel, or right behind the Mariott Hotel which is on LaoShan Lu.
I was introduced to this hotel many many years ago, no foreigners go there, hardly, but many stay at the hotel. So you'll see Chinese companies booking their clients or suppliers there, but the clients and suppliers will not goto the 4/5th floors....Entertainment sector.
It is expensive, bit it is five Stars *****, compared to the rest. You will find top exectives and Japs as regular clients.

Hi clubclass. I went to BaoAn hotel last week. The place is a little empty from outside. Very cosy and posh. It was a strange feeling when i reached there. No people etc... I went to the reception and the in-charge lady showed me the price. Then i decided to cancel as i don't think it would be fun by looking at the environment......

But my suggestion is go some bars such as BabyFace, Paulaner, Rendezvous, GPlus...
And you will get what u want...
Just smile and wait. Chicks will find u...
Usually the bargain begins at 1500 RMB but if u insist u may decrease the price around 500-600 RMB for minimum 2 shots in your room.
After the happy ending small tip to lady for a taxi...
And warm shower for u...

Bao An is a very large place, and plush, it's been one my secrets, went in accidently 6 years ago when I used to stay there, and the hotel was frequented to those concerned with the Shanghai Stock Exchange, incl the restaurant and the KTV. Not even the local Chinese businessmen knew of this place.
Went in there last week, and there are some foreigners. Looks empty when you goto the reception, but it leads you to the changing rooms where you are assisted to get undressed, porter places your clouths in the locker. Then proceed to bathe in luxurious shower cubicles.
After this, you can either swim in the large hot pool, 40 deg C, with air jets, this is probably the largest hotpool I have ever seen, its probably 15mx10m, with individual pools for very hot, or very cold - Russian Style.
There is a luxurious sauna, (cleaner then my gym in London)....thereafter you can go and lie down (single sofa recliners) in a cavernous room, get wrapped in towels, order any drinks (you have to pay now !! Rmb 20 per Heineken), with your own private 14'' TV and remote.
Whilst you are doing this you can order a pedicure, manicure...gorgeous girls...but I remember being Rmb 180 for this.
After about 20 mins, they ask you for 'massagy', where you are led to a laberynth of corridoors, where you finally come to your room and girl (which is pre-selected for you). If you don't like her they will give you another choice. I have seen mainly 7-9 out of 10's. Most are tall, no shorties.
You don't have to go to the rooms immediately, you can ask them to wait, and continue to relax.
Its a dark room, again clean and plush, with gentle music. A proper massage is given, thereafter with FS with protection. (a handjonb was normal till last year, due to lack of clients, FS started).
Bao An will not suit all, and if your'e looking for a refined & relaxing experience, this is the place, if your'e looking for maximum 'bang' for your cash , this is not the place.
It sure is my best way destress after a 12 hour flight from Europe, but might not be the best venue on a Fri/Sat night.

The FR is quite acurate. Went there last week. The price has gone up RMB874. I asked for Happy Hour price and the manager said same price whole day. Its a classy place. Well, I have completely forgotten the name of the Massage Center that I once visited when I was in Germany a few years back; guys that really was like a HEAVEN on earth !!!!!!!!
After reading this thread, I am sure that this definitely be a ravishing thing to try (atleast for once due to its high price) BUT I am sure that it will be an unforgettable experience !!
no more girls working in spa now...big wind... most spa closed for business for 3 months. i was there in one of the spa lately
