Delhi to Thailand is possible, but it will be even cheaper if you take a train out to Kolkatta (Calcutta) and get a flight from there at the many cheap flight agencys in the city. You can great deals which knit flights together going from India to Bangkok. Biman Airlines (Bangladeshi) is an option I've taken countless times over the years from India to Thailand (or the other way around), and is one of the cheapest. Generally it (in either direction) stops for a few hours in Dhaka (or even overnight, basic hotel included) between the two countries. Dhaka airport is quite a scene, and utter chaos. But if you can put up with all this hassle then the flight is a real bargain. I'm not clued up on recent prices because I was last in India 5 years ago though. Another option (if it's still operating) is Druk Airlines (Bhutanese) and I seem to remember it was direct without a stop. Basic, small plane, a bit of plastic cheese as a meal, but cheap and cheerful. On the Biman website, it won't shop up direct India-Thailand because it has to be done in stages (DEL-DHK & DHK-BKK, for example). That's where the flight agencys in Kolkatta (or Delhi if you prefer less hassle) come in handy, knitting the flights together.
You should find some good deals with these airlines if you shop around. Good luck![]()
thanks for the info mate.
im definitely going to head over there because the more i think of the differences in the countries the more i want to be in thailand.
