cheap place to stay?

looking for a cheap place to stay in antanananrivo and other cities, mostly in the north east of madagascar. i do not want sunny hotel or hotel france at $30-$40 a night. this is a country where 3/4 of the population lives on one dollar a day. why pay $40. this is crazy. any cheap motels, hostels, homestay, or brothel?

IN Antananarrivo, le Glacier could be a good solution. Not expensive and in the right position to start the night.
Tulear in the south hotel Central.. very cheap and.... central!! or Chez Alain
IN Nosy Be.. everything more expensive including accomodation

check www.madagascar-guide.com , it's helpful, but if it's your first time in the island i real suggest you to buy a guide like "lonely planet" or "le routard"
are very important expecially for save money
