I’ll be nice even if you are to lazy to use the search button! E-mail toom39@msm.com

1200thb including tolls from airport to Pattaya and no hassle with the touts, him or his driver will also have a better idea of where your hotel is rather the BKK drivers you usually get at the rank.

Where are you going in Pattaya? Do you have a hotel booked already? If so the hotel might provide transportation or offer it at a discount. If not you need to book someplace in advance unless you are traveling very light. The approx. cost is 1k baht and you can negotiate this at the airport.. Expect touts to want 2k or more, but don't take the bait. The real price is 1k and that is with the new more expensive prices. One year ago it was 800 baht.

You can also call Mr. Toom.. I think JRC has the contact info. He is more expensive .. but i hear reliable.

You can also try using Mr T (not to be confused with Mr Toom). Very reliable and his drivers uses new cars. His rates are 1000 bht between Airport and PTY and 900 bht from PTY to Airport. Tolls are included.
    His email is mr_ttaxi@hotmail.com

I have also used Mr Toom (mentioned in another post)... Also pretty good but some of his drivers use older cars... From BKK to PTY I paid 1200 bht with Mr Toom.

Maybe not the best option unless someone is on a very tight budget. I have used Mr Toom's services a few times and he seems pretty reliable, quality of the car can vary.

That's because you didn't take the VIP bus.
From the new airport a short free ride with the shuttle bus to the bus station and about 2 hours to reach the bus station in Pattaya.
If it's early in the morning and I am not in a hurry to get there I don't really mind to take a bus ride (10-15 flight for someone are enough and they prefer the taxi... but personally I usually don't feel tired after the flight).
In the afternoon taxi is also my choice, so has you can see is not only a matter of budget
Ready for another turn on the merry-go-round. From 27 october 'till april at least

Gentlemen; i was in so many countries; but i would never waste one word to
discuss about the prices of transport in Thailand; sorry this is crazy.
I met people; ve given the girls moon prices; and fight about 3 bucks for
a taxi ride. I never travelled so cheap than in Thailand

Here people are discussing about prices AND services, which is a little bit different thing. I think tha everybody here agree that transport in Rhailand are cheap. But to somebody who don't know what are the costs and the services offered it's informative to illustrate all of them.
Or should we all rent an elicopter to reach pattaya?

After a 12 hour flight, I don't want to be pissing about at bus stations for the sake of £20.

I have used Mr Toom about 5 times now, always reliable.

You never know what you get.

After Taxing to Pattaya for number of years ..I now personally prefer the comfort, space & ride of the large Bell Bus service from the Airport dropped at my resort hotel in less than 2 hours.. all for 200 Baht odd.
Check them out near the Thailand Tourism counter ..you will find a lady holding a board scribbled -Bell Bus !!

I have been going to Thailand a lot over the last 15 years, and I find the best
    and cheapest to Pattaya.
Stop one night in Bangkok at Nana hotel, and next morning go to the Travel
agent in Nana and ask for Big bus to Pattaya.
They pick you up in Mini bus and take you to Bus depot and transfer to Big Bus. Last year cost 300Bt each way. But the best is they take you to your
Hotel in Pattaya, all for 300Bt ex Bangkok.Only Tip is extra. Sammy221047
