Cleveland teacher on leave after prostitution charge

A Cleveland theater arts teacher and student council sponsor has been charged with prostitution after being arrested at a downtown Houston hotel by an undercover agent she met on an Internet chat room, authorities said.

xxx, 38, was arrested Aug. 13 as part of an investigation involving police monitoring of Web sites and chat rooms known for possible solicitation, said Bruce Williams, Houston police spokesman.

xxx could not be reached for comment Monday. No one answered the door of her home in the Mills Branch subdivision of Kingwood, where she lives with family.

Rhonda Perrino said Lewis and her family had lived next door since 2007.

"She looks like your typical soccer "MILF" mom. She's a very nice, quiet neighbor," Perrino said. "It makes me wonder if we ought to pay our teachers more."

Court records indicate xxxx and her xxxxmoved into the Mills Branch home after her divorce was finalized in June 2006.

Cleveland school Superintendent Kerry Cowart said xxx was first hired by his Liberty County district at the start of the 2006-2007 school year. Prior to that, she was theater arts teacher in another Liberty County district in Dayton for three years.

xxx since been placed on administrative leave with pay, and the school board will consider her possible termination on Monday.

This article is interesting but you have it in the wrong place. The teacher is from Cleveland TEXAS not OHIO. It is a small town north of Houston.
