    Pattaya Beer Garden Opens

It is based on the famous Beer Garden on Soi 7 in Bangkok. Apparently the opening night in Pattaya was a huge success. Read about it Pattaya Beer Garden.

I don't have any problem with the beer garden opening and I wish it good luck. Being realistic though I don't see how it will fit into the Pattaya scene. Apart from Beach Rd and Soi 6 there are few places that offer girls during the daytime because there isn't the demand. Farangs on holiday in Pattaya tend to stay out late, drink a lot and not get out of bed until the afternoon.

Late at night existing venues already battle each other to get FL's inside. Some places give FL's drinks at half price, some have even tried handing out free booze and cash 'prizes'. A friend of mine was the farang DJ in the Hammer disco and he said they tried everything to get the FL girls to ply their trade in his club. They spent a lot of money on the best light show and sound system in town, and couldn't get any Thai girls to visit. No girls means no guys.

Years ago small groups of FL's would patrol the shopping centers during the late afternoons if they wanted some extra business or an early customer. Nowadays it's possible to walk around Royal Garden and Big C for hours and never see any TG looking for a farang punter.

I just don't think that there is an army of FL's in Pattaya who want to change the habits of a hooker lifetime.

Nonetheless, with good beer prices, good food at good prices, and a good atmosphere, a lot of farang men will go with or without the FL's.

In this case the "no girls means no guys" rule doesn't hold.

And maybe in this case, the FL's will follow the punters and will ply their trade there because of the better chance of getting picked up.

It seems as though the Beer Garden is at the end of the small pier which is fronted by the Siren BB complex. Not a good location.

Cheap beer is available almost everywhere. Bottled or draught beer at 45 baht isn't difficult to find. Why go to the end of a pier for that ?

Whatever food is served it's going to be cheap and cheerful rather than good quality. There are hundreds of places in Pattaya serving food like this, why go to the end of a pier to eat the same thing ?

The top FL's wont' be seen dead in or around the Siren complex. Neither will many of the other FL's.

In order to make this business a success the best idea is to recruit a lot of novice FL's who have either not been in Pattaya long or who are sent directly from the village. Not an easy task since there will be a big turnover in the girls.

The good news is that the U.S. navy is in town soon and lots of the sailors like to drink in the Siren BB's.

I'm in Pattaya in June and will certainly pay a visit. I personally like the location by the seafront just off walking street.

Sounds like a good place to relax in between visiting gogo bars.

Looking at the web-site it appears to be located at the rear of the Thai boxing complex just before you enter Walking Street, I did not know it was called the "Siren Complex".

I would be surprised if any of the pretty freelancers would be interested in working from there because it will probably attract too many Cheap Charlies who don't want to pay a barfine ---- the barfines in that complex are only 300 baht anyway.

Anyone familiar with that complex will know that the toilets are at the back, that is where this new bar seems to be.

When you say freelancers & barfines I think your confused. Freelancers as the name suggests are not employed by a bar, so no barfine need be paid.

You wont see the cream of WS In there, they will still be asleep.

I guess most will be beach rd girls etc.

Isn't that "Siren" beer bar complex notorious for strong sewer gas fumes. That's how I remember it.

Yes, I do understand that but my point was that the remaining bars in the complex only have a 300 baht barfine, mongers who visit this "Beergarden" simply to avoid paying 300 baht are probably not the type that the top freelancers would want to meet.
I wish the owner the best of luck, the problem with bars situated at the rear of a complex is that customers tend to get "captured" before they reach you, only time will tell.

The Pattaya Beer Garden is owned and operated by Pattaya Pete, who's one of the better known personalities in the city. He founded and operated FLB on Walking Street (has since sold it) as well as starting up one of the more active Pattaya-based Internet boards. Thousands of guys, ex-pat and visitors, know his name and that's sure to steer quite a few customers his way.

But the real test will be how well the Bangkok Beer Garden "model" works in Pattaya. For it to be successful, the punters not only have to drop by the Pattaya Beer Garden to have a beer or two, but they will also have to make the decision to choose ladies from among the FLers sitting there. Because these ladies are trying to attract S/T customers, they aren't interested in endless banter over a drink. The FLers will stop going there if the punters are only interested in gabbing and in the end, no Flers means no male customers.

One huge source of FL talent may be the many thousands of girls who work nights in go go or beer bars. They may be inclined to drop by in the late afternoon to score a S/T session before beginning their shift in the evening. That is source for the more attractive girls at the BG in Bangkok.

Pattaya hookers fall into 4 categories,

They have a sponsor(s)/earn enough, and so couldn't give a flying fcuk about a beer 'garden' at the end of a smelly pier.

They are looking for a sponsor(s) who isn't smelly and doesn't dwell at the end of a pier.

They are new to the game and don't know what a cheap charlie is, or what a pier is, or what smells bad.

They are so ugly and broke that they are desperate to get any farang, but they are so stupid that they couldn't find their way out of a paper bag, never mind to the end of a pier. Even if all they have to do is close their eyes and follow the smell.

    ...but good luck anyway

From the photos it looks like a modern clean beer garden, good food menu and nice ocean views.

Will have to wait and see how it works out with the FL's.

They've been open a week now has anyone been yet?

I plan to go in early june but will walk straight out if it's smelly or full of ugly women. I will stay if it's a nice place to drink, the women are optional. I could never find much to take my fancy in beer garden bangkok so don't expect pattaya to be any different.

Personally I think soi 6 can't be beat for st, so I'm really looking for someplace to drink and read the paper.

I take it you don't like the end of piers.

I was in there yesterday afternoon.

    1) It does not smell in there.

    2) They play good music videos, not too loud.

    3) The food seems OK.

I would be very surprised if this place takes off in it's current format, it gets busy during happy hour between 3pm and 5pm but he can't be earning much at 40 baht a bottle.
There were hardly any girls present and when I looked later at night the place was empty, I hope things improve because the guy has invested a lot of money.
