Finally arrived after an hours delay at Heathrow. Then managed to find the slowest taxi driver in Thailand. 2 1/2 hours to Pattaya. Well at least i didnt have to drive it myself this time while the taxi driver slept.

Arrived at BJ guest house about 19:00 booked in, dumped my stuff in the room and went walkabout.......

Out of BJ's and down to beach road to see what cheapies were about. I very rarely take girls from beach road but i do like to take a look, and i was pleasantly surprised. I have never seen so many cheapies out and about, there were even a few that would have been worth taking for a ride. There were that many they almost out numbered the russians!!!

Before leaving my boss phoned me to try and wind me up by saying that all the girls in thailand had gone on strike, well as i got down towards walking street, passing a few bars on the laft side of the road they were quite dark, very few lights on, so i wandered over to see what was happening and all but a couple of bars were closed, the bars that were open only had a few girls in them. I then moved up to first road and again the bars were mostly closed, found Hotties and that was closed, soi LK virtually everything closed, the only bars in soi 6 that were open were full of ladyboys, i was beginning to think that my boss was telling the truth. The place is really dire. (keep reading it does get better)

Apparently everything is closed for 3 days this week and 3 days next week (Fri, Sat and Sun) because the government have overdosed on viagra!!!! A local told me that they were having elections. Knowing that the Thais pronounce their R's as L's i assumed they ment erections. (maybe i've got it wrong) but whatever the reason it has the same effect as Buddah day or a royal birthday. everything closes. another opportunity for the local police to make a few more baht in fines. Apparently they are also trying to have a Buddah day every other week now.

Still on the positive side JRC would be proud of me, i saved myself 1000 bht and slept alone. I'm really getting the hang of this mongering lark now!!!!
