    will this exchange?

    I have a 1969 5000 mexican peso note that I baught in 1991. Is this note still legal tender? where in Texas can I exchange this for 100 peso notes or 50's etc. ?

    No. Mexico revalued its currency in 1993. The older notes are for collectors now. If you would have turned it during the exchange period, you would have received a shiny 5 peso coin.

    A guy outside a ATM in Acapulco tried to get me to change one of for him last summer. I laughed since even if Mexico had notes >1000MXN, I wouldn't have that kind of money.
