Upcoming Buddhist Holidays

Hey Guys,

As (bad) luck would have it my 6-day trip to LOS from the 27th of July until the 2nd of August happens to include a two-day National holiday on 29-30 (Sun-Mon). Any info on what to expect? Will Pattaya be on lock down while the faithful are at the wat? Thanks. Devilok

Buddhist holidays indeed affect on alcohol selling, and amount of visible activities on famous walking street. Unreal quiet, not music or people shouting those days. However tourist might get all what they are looking for because business is business.

You can do byob.... Most of the girls are more that happy to take a two dayer during such time.
Just load up you room with hooch and off you go!

I'm on duty for Thai "Mothers Day" I'll acutally have a party in my room and enjoy the poolside access etc. I don't mind Holiday's OH! Not clothing allowed in room for that day!

Well, next time I will consult my lunar calendar before booking for Thailand! Pattaya was dead last two nights due to two day national holiday. Most beer bars were open (no lights or music) around town and a few gogos, but all of my favorites were shut up unfortunately.

Yes, there were lots of ladies walking the streets, but it just takes something out of it for me to p/u a girl off the street. I like the whole game experience and I don't mind paying for it. Times like this the GFE comes in handy. Oh well, I will more than make up for it in the two nights I have left. Cheers. Devilok
