    Quick rundown on Bishkek

I am surprised there is not more info on Bishkek, as it is a great place to find women.

Saunas are easy to find. There is one right across the street from the Golden Dragon hotel.

Knowing some Russian helps but if not use the taxi drivers as guides.

Any taxi driver can find girls for you.

If you are staying in Kyrgyzstan for a long time it is easy to find a girlfriend and they will give it up after a date or two if you are an expat.

The Hyatt charges either a $ 20 or $ 25 fee to have 'guests'. The Hyatt also has a bar and casino so sneaking girls in isn't too hard if you don't make it obvious.

I have come to find what suits me best is getting an apartment. You should go to the market to get some bottled water and stuff to drink and snacks since you don't have room service but apartments are cheaper and no guest fee. A good apartment should run you between $ 50 and $ 75 per night.

You can find some great semi-pros that give a GF experience.
Sauna girls are pros and act like it.

The best place to find girls are night clubs, Fire and Ice and I think one is the Golden Bull.

P4P should not be more than 1000 som ST ($25) and 4000 som LT ($ 100).

The base there is closed so the troops are not driving up prices.

Taxi Drivers: younger ones at the airport are good, they can hook you up with girls and apartments.

One of the odd things about Bishkek is if you tell the taxi you are looking for girls they may take you to the sauna or you meet a car full of girls and the mamasan on the street corner and pick whichever one you want. This is fine at night but when you do it the Monday afternoon you arrive in town and there is all kinds of traffic around....

And FINALLY, buy or bring condoms with you. The Sauna girls have them but the girls you meet on the street/night club may not.

Stay safe, have fun and don't drive the prices up.

    Kyrgyzstan

    Dear stvette,

a lot of helpful information regarding girls in Kyrgyzstan. Thanks a lot.
As I will be posted in the south (Osh, Jalalabad) for some months are there also information available about other places in Kyrgyzstan than Bishkek?
Are there brothels in Kyrgyzstan? Do they have nightclubs with performances?
Any info regarding the best places for fun with girls in the neighbouring countries?

I am looking forward to more information regarding girls in Kyrgyzstan and I am promising to post information as soon as I arrived in July.

    Purple04,

saunas = brothels, most taxi drivers can take you to one. Although, most taxis can find you girls seperate from the saunas.

I do not know of any stripclubs but most of the girls in the nightclubs are 'available'. Nightclubs don't run girls. The girls are mainly independents going to the clubs because expats are there.

Like I said before though, if you are staying for a while you can easily get a girlfriend.

i went to bishkek on last december

    Dear Svette,

I am planning to go to bishkek for holidays for one month this summer and to practice my russian language as well. Bishkek is very cheap as I lived with locals for 15 days with a friend of mine, but never as an expat. All time was at home being a good boy, but this time will be different.

What about the disco or nightclubs entrance fees? are that expensive?

how is the safety in the night clubs?

The girls that goes to the bars and night clubs are freebies?

Do they speak english or need to know some russian language?

Your help will be very much appreciated.

    I have a few questions.

What do the women look like?

Is it as racist as Moscow?

    Women in Bishkek

In Bishkek you can find European looking woman, blond and tall, of Russian origin and you find a lot of Asian women from a variety of different ethnics. Kyrgyz women are usually rather small and have chinky eyes, relatively fair complexion if they come from the north and a bit darker olive if they come from the south. You can find a lot of Tartar, Mongol, Chinese and Turkish influences in the women here. Number of Russian women is getting less every day as Kyrgyzstan is gretting more nationalistic. Foreigners are getting more and more target of drunken youngsters of Kyrgyz origin, especially at late nights or early mornings outside of dicotheques, casinos and Saunas. Being a bit careful, using Taxi service (e.g.152 or 156 if you wanna call yourself or just ask the waitress in the Restaurant or bar to call a taxi for you) you can have great time. Women are looking for foreigners to marry them, that is if you look for a girlfriend. But also loads of professionals are around who usually give you a good time.

    Got this from lonely planet...

    Caution Advised

Kyrgyzstan is on the whole a safe place to visit. However, travellers should avoid demonstrations, as political tensions do exist and protests can become violent. Demarcation of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border is in dispute and anyone crossing the frontier should only use official checkpoints, as some areas may be mined.

The way you describe it, it sounds like the mongering paradisio. Hmm, worried that a big black guy like me may stick out as I believe those drunk kids you mentioned would only be even more rowdier once I admit to them I don't play basketball. Maybe I should stroll around in a wheelchair or something. Anyway, I really want to visit Kyrgyzstan now. I didn't know you guys were Islamic, with Buddhist overtones. I didn't even know there was such a thing as "Soviet Koreans." Who would have thought you could get a geography education by visiting a mongering web site???

    That gives me an idea......

You'll stick out but then again all americans stick out. I know a couple of Black guys that have gone to Bishkek and been fine. If it is your first time stay at the Hyatt, its safer, but they charge a guest fee.

Play it smart and you should be fine, but always remember you are in a third world country where the cops are corrupt and you can't drink the water.

    Actually... don't!

Actually, I'd suggest staying somewhere besides the Hyatt if you're looking for something more reasonably priced- Hyatt rooms tend to run well into triple digits in US$ for a night, and you can get a better deal on a nice hotel elsewhere... try the Golden Dragon (www.gdhotel.kg) - you may still have to pay for a guest, but the overall cost will be a little more reasonable than at the Hyatt. Other good to decent hotels are available for far far less than those - ask around when you get to Bishkek to find out what's currently available, as the situation tends to change frequently.

My experience is some girls won't go the the Golden Dragon. GD may or may not allow them in. Again my experience.

Fair enough - just wanted to make sure people know that if they were looking to come to Kyrgyzstan for some budget mongering, staying at the Hyatt is going to take a big hunk of your budget that could be spent on other, shall we say, more entertaining things And really, you can't pay a "fine" at the GD to get girls in the door?

True. There are plenty of hotels in bishkek for under $ 100 and those have security. Apartments are good, but no security.

Does anyone know if Apple is still open and a good place to go?
