Sorry to ask such simple and basic questions, but this will be my first time to visit Thailand and I have a few basic questions I have not seen addressed in other posts. In reguards to the city of Pattaya.
1. Better to do bussiness with the ladies and the bars and ect. using Thai currency or better to use US dollars?? Rate of exchange wise I mean. Also I have been to other countries that the locals feel a bit insulted that we don't take the time to exchange to local currency and allways want to use US Dollars (as if the local money isn't good enough for us to bother with)
2. I have heard that there are ATM's around the country, do they spit out Thai currency only?? Can you request different currency?? Best place to get good rate to exchange currency??
3. I see from different web sites that there are hundreds of places to get rooms, hotels, motels, apartments, ect. In Pattaya specifically, when the hotel rates itself at 4 stars what would the equivilent USA style hotel be?? Also a 4 star place?? Only like a Motel 6 level place?? Better / Worse ??
4. Any recomendation for good reliable transportation from Bangkok airport to city of Pattaya?? Any opinion on renting a vehicle from Bangkok to Pattaya for the week and then returning it back to Bangkok on way out?? Is it better to just take the big bus or rent a taxi??
5. Extra silly question here, but I need to ask, better to bring own condoms with me or safe and reliable to buy in-country?? Same question for all the basic things like toothpaste, shampoo, ect. ect.
Thanks to all of you experienced visitors to help a newby out with truthfull and accurate information![]()
