Take a look in the editorial section, a guy has waved the red flag again, he wants the cops to take action NOW to shut down all pfp action in our area..I think they just want us all to drive to Nevada, but why should we have to.Why cant they just mind there own damn biz. and leave us alone?? Prostitution

The arrest last month of an escort service owner for accepting the earnings of a prostitute(s), is cause for Boise citizens to take a close look at prostitution in our community. Last summer Boise police issued 11 citations to massage spas, the Boise Weekly is full of ads from "escorts," as well as the Internet that give rates and services along with review of what is going on. Seems I have counted at least 50 different prostitution ads in one week alone. Come on BPD, do something. The old saying that this is a victimless crime is not true. These prostitutes are using drugs, not paying FICA or income taxes. Based on the number of prostitutes and the average charges in Boise, the unreported income goes above the several million-dollar range.

So if they paid FICI and income taxes then this guy would be ok with prostitutes. Weird thing to be worried about. I am sure them giving the government more money is a great idea, there is nothing worst than unreported income! I am sure he is also out searching for all the 10 million illegal aliens.

Uh, is it even BPD's responsibility to make sure they are paying FICA and income taxes?

And the only way he could know they are doing drugs is if he was a customer.

Police Arrest Suspect in Internet Prostitution Ring

(KSL News) -- Salt Lake police say they are making progress in a fight against internet prostitution. Today they arrested this man, William Williams.

Officers say he has run prostitution Web sites for several years. Detectives caught Williams when an undercover female officer posed as a prostitute, met with Williams and he tried to hire her.



Det. Robin Snyder, Salt Lake Police Dept.: "About half of our cases of prostitution are from the Internet now, and over the last two years we've made over 200 arrests off the Internet."

Police also have arrested more than a dozen women who worked for Williams.

Well as a person the visits Salt Lake often I can say for sure that the P4P business there is doing well and they even have SW which I never seen in Boise.

Of course the word on the street is always that there are going to be all these busts (that never happen of course).

The few busts that have happened were always without warning or rumor as I recall.

I heard the word on the street is they are looking for the guys who are leaking their investigations. Hear they have trumped up charges to put whiteknights away for 20 years so he won't get in the way of any more investigations. And COPS is shooting the arrest live planned for Saturday's show.

Kind of one of those things I believe when I see the 20 year conviction.
Of course one should always be careful in this hobby.
