Buying CompactFlash Cards in Thailand?

I might need some more memory while I'm there...any suggestions? Should I buy the cards here in the US or there in Thailand? I was gonna get one on Ebay but realized it was gonna be sent from Hong Kong so I thought maybe they're cheap and readily available in Asia. That way I could pick 'em up as I go depending on how much I needed...

Yeah you can get them there cheaper. Not a great deal cheaper but no problems finding them.

They are imported to Thailand as well. I would buy memorycards from Radio Shack or Fry's or whatever and spend time in Thailand with girls. Most of electronics are not that cheap that its worth of wander around after chips when you could enjoy and relax in massage and plan your next evening with chicks

I'd recommend to buy portable photovaults to store photos. Something like this:

There are even more nice/faster photovaults with video/M3 players and so but with that simple box you save both time and money. No need to burn CD's while travelling and 1GB card is all you need for camera.

I agree with other posts - i bought a sony 2gb memorystick pro in MBK Plaza last year - original piece with packaging from little booth - but price was maybe 20 - 30 % cheaper than UK - maybe even cheaper buying over internet - BUT
at least you can try it out right there before you buy it - no probs that way!
