Shangri-La or Crown Plaza??

I have an upcoming business trip to Shenzhen. Which hotel is best -- for ammenities, nearby restaurants and bars, and pretty girls to view/play with? I have never stayed at Crown Plaza, and while I know it is nice, I wonder if it has any action on site or nearby? (Perhaps too family-oriented area??) I don't like or need cheap... I like upper-end hotels and other experiences.

Shangrila is more conveniently located but Crown Plaza is classier and more upmarket. At Crown Plaza, there will be no action in the vicinity because it is surrounded by family theme parks. The only way to get action is in the V Bar whereby there are usually high end hookers that could speak reasonable English. Shangrila on the other hand is located close to the HK/China border and as such is surrounded by cheap barbershops, lower end joint.

This is pretty much what I figured. I think I'll stick to the Crown Plaza. Is the Vbar inside the Crown Plaza? Are the upper-end hookers obvious or will this require a bit of detective work? Any guess as to their price?

The V Bar is inside Crown Plaza. The hookers will usually approach you and ask you to buy them a drink. I paid 1500rmb for mine. I think the price ranges from 1000 - 2000rmb depending on time of night and market demand. Good luck with your endeavors.

Going rate for TLN is 600 RMB. One shot 100-200RMB in Shenzhen.

I do apologize for the late reply. I was in Zhuhai and Dongguan and as you can figure, one cannot access the worldsexguide in China. The girls are not all 10 out of 10....but they tend to come with class and can speak some if not fluent English. I do also appreciate that street walkers can be had for perhaps 100rmb but when you pay 1000rmb upwards for a girl, you are getting a different sort of experience and at the very least, they tend to tend to know the world "hygience"..... Perhaps you can use Rolls Royce and Ford as an analogy..... A Rolls Royce may not be 10 times better then a Ford but the experience of owing a Rolls Royce may be worth justifying paying 10 times more.
