Ok, I have lived in Shenzhen for about a year and a half now and I can tell you Shekou is geared for the foreigners. It is located in Nanshan District, way down at the bottom, it's a nice area with many foreign restaurants, bars and discos. There are some girly bars on the main strip (about 6 places) where you can buy the girls some drinks and take them home for a price, there is also a few BBS's heading back into Nanshan that pose as small massage/relaxation shops. Also, you can find freelancers outside the McDonalds in Shekou or try to pickup a freebie at any of the bars/discos, the girls at these places are normally laowai friendly and open minded.

Often, they will try to gouge you for more money out there because they think all foreigners are rich...
