    hotels in KK

Will be in KK in mid Oct ’06. First timer in town. Can anyone give me suggestions on cheap Hotels that are girl “friendly”? Looking for Mid to Low range in price that has a good location to the bars/nightlife. I’m going to hunt for a local first, so would like a place that’s not too bad.

Also, anyone fly air asia out of clark, PI to KK? Any problems?

    Thanks!

    Bro,
If your budget is rm150 and below, better u try hotels at gaya street. they have a lot of hotels there which are quite cheap. some can go below rm100. or you can try at bandaran area. They have 2 hotels there. Or for a nice and clean environment, you can try palace hotel or beverly hotel. Most of the hotel in kk are girl friendly, if that's what u looking for.

Can we stick to the topic please. The hotel thread is becoming a girl review section now. We have other threads for that.

    Please stick to the discussion.

Hotels: All hotels in KK are girl-friendly and you wont have problems bringing them up to your room. Back-packer lodges are of course not your ideal location to bring girls back with and they will charge if you do.

Hyatt: It is not stewardess friendly as it was 3-4 yrs ago; MAS dont night stop in Kinabalu as much as they did so dont expect too much. Even then, they stick with their own clicks and groups.

Promenade: Is a good central hotel. Its a 3 star hotel but room rates are about RM180 upwards. Book your room online on their website as its a lot cheaper than the rack rates or even calling up reservations. Its also alot cheaper than the corporate rates they offer.

Tang Dynasty is alrite but not as comfortable as Promenade BUT is alot cheaper and located in wawasan plaza. A half decent mall but dont expect shops to be anything like Mid Valley or 1-Utama.

Beverly Hotel is also decent but you really need a car to get around; its in the city but a pain to walk to/from to get to the city center itself as its separated by a major ring road and with little shade. Not ideal if you are there for business.

Beverly and Promenade have massage centers and they do in-room calls.

Le Meridian and Hyatt are tailored for high end customers and are girl friendly. You can book a massage from beverly or promenade; just call and request for a visit. They do offer packages as well.

Cititel is opening soon in Karamunsing so stay tuned for that as well.
