    Exclamation World Cup Update

EU wants tighter visa rules to stymie World Cup sex trade

EUOBSERVER / BRUSSELS -Justice commissioner Franco Frattini has suggested that visa requirements should be re-introduced for all non-EU citizens travelling to Germany for this summer's football world cup.

The move comes as a response to outcries from NGOs and politicians about an expected boom of forced prostitution during the sports event, with estimates of the total number of women and girls that may be brought to Germany for sexual purposes varying from 40,000 to 100,000.

"We need to introduce and re-introduce temporary visas for all third countries - even those not requiring visas so far - but which are possible origin countries for trafficked women ," commissioner Frattini said, speaking at a seminar on forced prostitution in the European Parliament on Wednesday (8 March).

The visa demands would be issued for a period of up to 45 days- sufficiently long enough before and after the event to stop the sex trade from establishing itself.

Mr Frattini said that each and every application for a visa from women in the suspected countries of origin for forced prostitution should be checked, as a lot of the times "the women lie and say they will attend for instance cultural events" in the application.

The EU commissioner also announced that he had urged member states of the Schengen border-free area to impose stricter border and passport controls during the event, a move that will affect the ten new EU members who are not part of the zone yet.

A "Schengen" visa allows visitors to travel freely within the area which includes 13 EU states as well as Norway, Switzerland and Iceland.

Women from Bulgaria, Romania, Poland, Russia, and Ukraine top the list of prostitutes in Germany, but out of these only Ukrainian and Russian travellers currently need a visa to enter the EU.

    Performance boxes already at place
Earlier this year, MEPs adopted a report with strategies to prevent trafficking of women and children, containing an explicit request that German authorities take "appropriate measures" when hosting the football event this summer.

Prostitution is legal in Germany in certain city zones, but with thousands of football fans attending the world cup, German cities face up to a 30 percent increase in sex trade during the event, NGOs have reported.

In Berlin, within walking distance from the main football arena, a "super brothel" with 70 rooms for 600 customers daily has been built, and in Dortmund and Cologne so-called "performance boxes" - mobile units equipped with snacks and condom vending machines, toilets, alarms and emergency exits - have been installed.

    The client forgotten
Communication commissioner Margot Wallstrom who attended the same seminar, said "This was not what we envisaged with the internal market – an area where women are sold by the thousands with no respect for the dignity for human beings!"

"I come from a national background where treating women as commodities is an insult to all women. And also to all men," the commissioner said, speculating on whether it would be cheaper to buy the body of a person or a ticket to the football match during the cup.

"I would also like to underline the importance of focusing attention on the users – the men who exploit these women. They need to understand that this is not OK. Not at all!"

Commissioner Frattini at the seminar said that forced prostitution was "a perversion of the values of sport" and urged the football community to mobilise against the phenomenon, as in recent moves against racism in football.

Talking Soccer and pussy fest in Germany coming up

Don't worry, the geeks won't win. There will be plenty of pussy around during the FIFA World cup June 8-July 10 . That sensationalist report below is quite disinformational: the brothel in Berlin mentioned, i e Artemis-FKK, has been around almost a year now and the eight 'performance boxes' in Cologne for 5 years or so, as reported here in WSG (there are ~1000 more venues in CLG alone). Prostitution is legal in Germany, but pimping and trafficking is not. "Forced" prostitution is usually claimed by women who get cought in countries like UK, where it is illegal, as reported on BBC news. That way they don't get jailed, often not even deported. Instead they are cuddled by the local welfare services.

Anyway, stadium tickets are sold out, but most of the FKK resorts have big screen TVs where sports events are shown live. So why not combine soccer and mongering in one neat package: This spring and summer I am planning a few group trips around the pussy triangle Frankfurt-Duesseldorf-Cologne-Aachen using motorhomes. Cost will be around US$2000/week to 10 days including everything (airfare, accomodations, ground transport, FKK-admissions, 2-4 ladies/day, food ect). Minimum is 2 mongers, maximium 8. The more the merrier and cheaper. PM me if interested.

Talking German prostitutes to retrain as nurses for elderly

German prostitutes to retrain as nurses for elderly
    By Kate Connolly in Berlin
    (Filed: 14/03/2006)

Prostitutes in Germany are being given the chance to retrain as geriatric nurses with the help of the Church and EU funding.

The scheme will help plug a chronic shortfall in nurses as well as offering an alternative to prostitutes who find themselves in an overcrowded and increasingly dangerous trade.

About 30 prostitutes between the ages of 20 and 40 are to take up a two-year training course for auxiliary nurses in the western state of North Rhine Westphalia.

The trainees include Angelika, who is in her late 30s and worked in Bochum as "Angie" for six years. She has cut her hair short, dyed it brown and said she has found the transition from selling sex to caring for old people very smooth.

"I'm feeling good," she said. Rita Kühn, of the protestant church's welfare programme in North Rhine Westphalia, which is spearheading the project, says of the former prostitutes: "They are in general very good at dealing with people, in addition to which they don't get squeamish and have absolutely no fear about touching or being touched."

Wish them luck! Nobody in their right mind wants to work as geriatric nurse (CNA in US jargon) Its an extremely stressful minimum wage job with incredible staff turnover and corrupt medical mafia types in managemwent. They can only find migrants, ex-cons and drug rehabs to be trained to do this dirty work, in the USA mostly Filipinas. -- Similar in Germany, where social outcasts and wannabe Mother Teresas do this really needed work. I knew one Wolfsburg mom who was such a CNA nurse and pimped out her teen daughters on the side.-- However some CNAs discover quickly that they can make good tips by giving HJ while bathing male patients, and I know at least one who used her California CNA license to legally operate as HJ masseuse on the side at $100/hr. So the process works both ways.---

    World Cup

On the World Cup I'll be there with my brazilian girlfriend (hope they aren't on the list of people they intend to make entering Germany difficult for).

Does anyone know anything about swingers hotels. I hear but don't have any recomendations that there are clubs (perhaps associated with the FKK clubs) that have hotels.

Also any recomendations for sex clubs where couples get in for free - again I hear there are some all day clubs with food and drink at which couples get in for relative little.

By the way we're a game couple anyone out there got any interesting suggestions.

In the Cologne/Bonn area: Fashion Pivatparty, FKK/wellness swing club, every night from 20.oo hrs, couples very welcome and free. Race no issue. Call first, by invitation only. http://fashionprivatparty.de/ IMHO the best.

Near Duesseldorf: Partytreff Mettmann, more of a bar/brothel ambience. Look at http://fkkguide.cyberfreehost.com to find them.

Most "Partytreffs" operate on the couples free system.

Nun Puts the 'Red Card' on Frugal Prostitution at World Cup

May 3, 2006 — With the start of the World Cup soccer championship in Germany a little more than a month away, many people are gearing up to participate in the event one way or another.

On June 9, about 3 million visitors from all over the world are expected to converge on the 12 German cities hosting matches. The German sex industry is ready to meet the challenge of increased demand during the four-week tournament, and so are anti-sex industry activists concerned with human trafficking and forced prostitution.

Officials say there may be about 40,000 additional prostitutes in Germany, many of which are going to be smuggled into Germany by profiteers in time for the World Cup.

"Those women come mainly from Bulgaria, but also from other Eastern European countries, such as Romania, Ukraine and the former Yugoslavia," said Sister Lea Ackermann, a German Roman Catholic nun and the founder of SOLWODI — SOLIDARITY with Women in Distress.

"Those countries where poor women, while looking for a job abroad, are often lured into prostitution by false promises," she said.

A Magnet for Sex Trade and Trafficking

When Ackermann first founded SOLWODI in Kenya in 1985, it was simply an aid project for women living in the slums of Mombasa.

"Seeing the violence, exploitation and misery of these women, who were forced to work as prostitutes because they were poor, convinced me I had to help change their situation," she said.

"Upon my return to Germany in 1987, I realized that even in civilized Europe, migrant women and girls are being exploited and mistreated in very similar ways. I founded SOLWODI in Germany to support some of the weakest members of our society: women, foreign to our country and way of life, with no command of the language, little or no knowledge of their rights, completely dependent on their exploiters."

Ackermann said SOLWODI decided to focus on victims of prostitution as the World Cup games approached because sports events tended to increase demand in the sex trafficking industry.
