It might be best to lay low for a while.

This was one of the lead stories on Ch. 12's 9pm newscast....
At least 6 places hit...Hong Kong, Shanghai, Joe Jeans, Aloha, and a couple of others.
9 women arrested for various charges ranging from unlicensed massage therapists to residing in a business.
I think it's safe to say that the massage parlor biz as we know it in Boise is pretty much finito for the next couple of months.

I think it was inevitable with the rapid growth and advertising.Originally Posted by lochdhu

Interesting age of girls cited.Originally Posted by Coconut
Also concerning is the quote:
Investigators also have collected license plate numbers of customers who frequent the massage parlors.

I guess all good things must come to an end.
I havnt partaked in 4 months now so hopefully.

The Idaho Statesman Says 18 women were cited. and news reports on TV this morning say only 5 women were cited,
one thing i find hard to beleive is this statement. "some were offered sex"
ok maybe not all places, but it was hard to get some of the girls to put out, as they were very parnoid, or usally you would have to make the first move to indicate you wanted sex.
I could careless if they got my lic plate, they cannot prove what happened inside. altho they might release the lic plates or names to the public, which wouldnt hurt me.
anyways becareful out there guys, do a couple of drive by's or walk arounds. look in windows of business opposite the place of business. and report suspicous activity
might also make for a few good deals, as they might be desperate for work, could mean cheaper rates or deals.
I would also suspect the police are reading this message board. so lets becareful what we say on here from now on.
Stay safe fellow mongers.

oh and check here to see if they booked any of the girls we might know, as they post arrests on the ada pig site
http://www.adasheriff.org/ArrestsReport/

here is a list of the places they hit, looks like they missed a couple, and brought to our attention of a few places I never heard of.might have to go and check them out

These are the businesses where people were cited Tuesday:
Joe Jeans, 401 N. Orchard St.
Aloha Spa, 636 W. Overland Road
Shanghai Spa, 1455 N. Cole Road
Hong Kong Spa, 1129 Broadway Ave.
Asiana Spa, 1150 W. State St.
Apple Spa, 174 N. Orchard St.
Tokyo Massage, 5115 W. Fairview Ave.
World Spa, 5016 Morris Hill Road
VIP Spa, 4105 W. State St.

Actually, most of them on the list have been discussed at one time or another, so they didn't have any we didn't know about. They did miss a couple that we know about though.
Thanks for reminding me of the website. No one seems to be on their pages yet from the sting, but they could show up in the next day or two.

I hope that we didnt help bring this about with our postings??? I to think that the cops read this site. Lets watch what we say in the future.. I dont know what they can do with the plate info , they could get in trouble them selves if they try and charge someone with no proff, or they could be charged for hurting one reputation?? stay safe out there... see ya in Navada..

If you read the links that were posted from the news, it seems that it was an asian day spa near shanghei that was legit that had talked to the police. He basically said that he was upset because he went to check out the competition and was offered sex, plus he was getting people coming into his place wanting sex.
I think what it really comes down to is that he probably knew that most of them were offering sex and he saw it as a good chance to get rid of a lot of his competition and get his name known. I'd be fairly sure that it doesn't have anything to do with our boards.

Just got back from lunch....
Drove by Honk Kong on Broadway. A cameraman and reporter woman went up to the front door (the one facing Wendy's) and were greeted by an older white gentleman. I'm guessing they wanted to do an interview. From what I saw they stood at the doorway and didn't go inside. Their "OPEN" sign that faced Beacon was still lit, but it looked like a banner was laying on the steps.

I respect law enforcement. I really do. But this is stupid.

Those ages don't seem to correspond with anything I've seen on my visits. . . . Weird
I'm with you tbobtv, I hope that we didnt help bring this about with our postings. Any feelings from others on that subject? Should we do anything different?
Apparently non of you guys got busted. . . . so that's good, but damn it, I was kinda enjoying that whole thing.

I noticed the name and ages and they just dont jive with anyone I have been with.
I hope myslef that we did not bring this bad stuff apon ourselve also. It was fun whie it lasted.
