Hi,
I'm planning a 3 months trip to pattaya.
when is it best to go in terms of weather/prices?
which period is the high/low season?

high season is now. Low season is in Apr May Jun....very hot and humid. So go to bars with A/C. Best time to go is anytme you can get away.
Come on dude, do your fellow travelers from Israel one better and research it out. Thought Israelies were the king's of travel, seems I run into them everywhere I ever been. This info readily available, but I don't flame too hard, now is high season, when gets rainy/more hot ie spring/summer is low season. Might I suggest checking out other nearby locales, so many places to see if in this part of world and have 3 months to blow. Good luck!

hi,
thanks for responding.
when you say april/may is very hot, how hot? (in degrees)?
summer in israel is pretty hot and i'm used to it.
and what time of the year is it winter? (cause i cant stand the winter.)
unfortuately, i cant go now, and i also don't want to wait for a whole year until it's high season again so that's why i'm asking these questions.
thanks a lot!
p.s
it's true, you can find israelis anywhere. its quite funny, i could travel anywhere and still bump into israelis speaking to me in my own language in the other side of the world. some israelis can sometimes be a pain in the ass... this doesn't imply on me though... :-)
If I were you , I would warm up gradually to what LOS has to offer.I am no arm chair adviser but 'been thre done that' kind as recent as the last few years.
My suggestion.. as soon as you can reach BKK & take a flight out to Samui.Start getting used to the Tropical feel of the place.Very serene island. You could easily spend a week in Koh Phagnan & other islands & live a la Learnardo di caprio in the Beach.Yes you could monger just in case you cannot bed the best of single women travellers from all over the world seeking Nirvana there.
Then fly to Phuket & you could spend another week or so warming up to the hedonistic pleasures of Pattaya.
In between fill up on Chiangmai/Chaingrai ( never been there ) & then you can get yourself transported to adult disneyland ( only the rides are harder)& easily spend the rest of your life there forget about 1 month.
Bon Voyage , Bon apetit ( & how do they say in french 'wish you great sex ?)

why would i do that? do you suggest i would be in shock if go immediatly to LOS? why not go straight to where the action is? im only going in a few good months from now, so you could say im already warming up gradually... i'm already losing it just reading some of the posts here, it think if would warm up any further i would explodeOriginally Posted by Michaelkaran

Suit yourself buddy but inspite of your research here .. a first trip to Pattaya leaves EVERYONE on a learning curve ( do read this post of mine )Originally Posted by incognito21

Yeah, I agree. Understand that when I went to Pattaya I had a good friend who had been living there for three years. He definitely helped but I was still stumbling around in a happy stupor my first few days. Hell, my first night there I almost got seriously conned by a go go girl. You are a stranger in a strange land. Dont walk off the plane thinking you will know all the answers. You wont.Originally Posted by Michaelkaran
As for when to visit the LOS, in the summer its hotter, less comfortable, but also less crowded. You will definitely pay less for hotels, and thats true from the four star hotels right down to the cold water guest houses. You will also pay less for girls then too.
But I agree with what an earlier poster said. Best time to go is when you CAN go.
