    I'm usually somewhat knowledgeable about these things but I'm running out of ideas.

    AMP is out west of the airport about 8 miles, off of I94. It's on the southside service road next to a liquor store. Can't remember the name exactly, but i was in there May or so. Cost's 40-60 to get in the door, providers are usually 5-6 and it can get up to another 150 fs. But why not just go to Canada? About same cost canadian get a cheap room in canada and then get outcall. Just a thought. Ann Arbor also has quite a few AMPs and one western place. Never been to any of them, but you can find info online.

    Thanks...most of the ones (if not all) in Ann Arbor have been closed by LE and the one off 94 I've heard is hit or miss.

    Canada would be th best option, you're right.

    Know anyone good over there?

    Try www.executiveschoice.com.They are the largest provider in Windsor and their girls are really nice and friendly.They also have a listing of hotels with addresses and phone numbers.Incall F/S will cost you less than the AMPs and incall is totally legal in Windsor.Remember that the prices you see are Canadian, so its a pretty good deal.

    Detroit update

    In early December, 2003, the sheriff department morality unit (that's really the name of the unit) conducted an undercover sting operation along Michigan Avenue in Southwest Detroit. By dumb luck, a male murder suspect solicited one of the female officers and was arrested. He was wanted for an execution style shooting at a drug house. The police used pepper spray on him when he allegedly resisted arrest. So, as you might imagine, the morality unit is basking in this accidental glory. One thinks the police might have better luck apprehending murder suspects if they, oh gee, went looking for murder suspects.

    Wasn't it in Detroit a few years ago when the cops were doing a street sting & wound up getting stung themselves after some dude pulled out a gun & blew away a couple of undercover officers? I wonder how much "basking" they did that night?

    In my opinion, the cheapest way in Detroit are the sw's but they have risk involved. As mentioned by many here, go to Windsor and use a service there and have fun, will be cheaper than a spa in Michigan or a call girl. There are too many to even list plus independents also. Safer legally and cheaper in the long run. I often wonder why those that use escorts regularly don't just buy a ticket to El Paso, or other border town on US side and have a couple nights of fun by crossing the border.

    Basking

    Comments about the border cities well taken, but obviously
    some people can't find an excuse to say, honey, I have to
    run down to a border city for, um, business. Yeah, it's a
    business trip. (I am lucky not to be in that position, but I
    have no criticism of anybody who is) I would like to say, for
    the record, that it is *good* for murderers to be arrested and
    *bad* for police to be blown away. Now if only the po-lice
    would extend the same simple moral courtesy to us.
    (See recent thread about Aurora, Colorado where police shot a guy dead during a sting operation) I do not wish any harm
    on the police. It is in our interest, and in some sense in the
    interest of the police, if we could simply avoid contact with
    them while going about our business.

    All out blitz in Detroit

    An update on Detroit current as of February 10, 2004.
    Headline: Police blitz nets 100 prostitutes
    Detroit chief vows to keep pressure on the city's criminals
    By David G. Grant/The Detroit News
    * * *
    Undercover Detroit police arrested more than 100 prostitutes during a 24-hour blitz in west side neighborhoods that were targeted because of residents' complaints about prostitution near their homes.
    Police Chief Ella Bully-Cummings [Note, that's REALLY her name!] said the blitz is part of her promise to residents that the police department would put more focus on neighborhoods.
    "I pledged to the community that police officers' efforts would increase the focus on prostitution and improve the quality of life in...Detroit," said Bully-Cummings.
    The blitz began at 6 a.m. Saturday in the 2nd (Schaefer) 4th (Fort Street) 6th (Plymouth) 8th (Grand River) 10th (Livernois) and 12th (Palmer Park) precincts on the west side. Police arrested 95 women and nine men.
    The prostitutes, who were all ticketed and will have to appear in court, ranged in age from 18 to 59-years-old.
    Assistant Police Chief Herald Cureton said officers drove around the targeted areas and when they spotted prostitutes flagging down johns, they were arrested before the act began.
    "This was a focus on the prostitutes and not the men wanting to pay for sex," Cureton said. "We (had) been going after the johns. We wanted to let the prostitutes know we have not forgotten about them."
    "We will be doing other operations like this throughout the city," he added.
    * * *
    [Note the unacceptably sloppy and completely unprofesional journalism, where anybody arrested was called both a prostitute and a criminal. The word "alleged" is not part of this journalist's vocubulary. An arrest, in his mind, is as good as a conviction.]

    Share and share alike

    Hey, Hold Em 21...who are you holding, exactly? And where are you holding them? Why are they being held? How are they being held? Out of affection? Or because they broke the law?
    I notice that you joined about a month ago and you have posted exactly once, that is to say, the post seeking word on a particular AMP in a town which has just seen a massive police crackdown. Do you have any information about your mongering experiences in your particular locale that you would like to share with us, before you ask others to share with you? Do you walk like us, talk like us, smell like us?

    Detroit situation

    Info current as of August 29, 2004
    From the Detroit News (Editorials and Opinions)
    [ This is an opinion piece, not a news item, but it contains a lot of useful Detroit information. Not happy news, certainly, but useful]
    Popping johns may clean streets, but it also makes money for cops
    By Nolan Finley
    A hooker says she was paid $60 to jolly up [male name] in the front seat of the former state Democratic Party chair's car near Detroit's Palmer Park.
    Sheriff Warren Evans collected $900 from the same encounter and didn't have to take off a stitch of his clothes. Why [male] would be shagging hookers in his own neighborhood is still unanswered. Why the Wayne County Sheriff's Department is running prostitution busts in Detroit may be the better question.
    The Sheriff's Department has limited law enforcement responsibilities. Its primary duty is to operate the county lock-ups and provide support services to other county police departments. It does the prostitution detail, Evans says, at the request of the Detroit police.
    He says hookers and their customers are ruining communities, are a nuisance to residents and create the environment for other illegal activity. All true.
    But it's also true that every john busted in a car has to pay the county $900 to get his vehicle back. Under the civil forfeiture law, the county keeps the money even if the defendant is never convicted of a crime. The fines are an important revenue source for the sheriff and the Detroit Police Department, which also works feverishly to sweep the streets of johns and their cars. Evans estimates forfeiture fines bring in $1 million a year, money he says that covers the cost of the unit. He says it's not a profit center and is having an impact on prostitution.
    Defense attorneys say the motive for the cops is the same as for the prostitutes--shaking money out of the johns.
    "They can grab as many as 100 cars a night," says Dearborn lawyer Majed A. Moughni, who has unsuccessfully challenged the civil forfeiture law.

    Detroit, continued

    Article, cont.
    It's such a fabulous scheme it's hard to believe the government came up with it. Defendants who feel they were wrongly arrested have a choice; pay $3,000 for an attorney to challenge the seizure, wait 60 days for a court hearing and risk the sort of public humiliation [name] is enduring. Or pay the $900, get the car back right away and hope whoever is waiting at home never finds out.
    Moughni says his files are full of cases where defendants claim they were arrested for simply rolling down their car window when a police decoy knocked. The attorney also contends some prostitutes work in cahoots with the cops, giving up their clients after they've been paid for their services. "It's racketeering," says Maoughni. "It's all about the money."
    The goal of ridding neighborhoods of illicit activities is a fine one. But ignoring civil liberties as a means of getting there is unacceptable. Grabbing a car and holding it hostage to a $900 fine--plus towing costs--trashes the concept of innocent until proven guilty. Like nearly every defendant in his predicament, [name] claims he is innocent, the victim of a misunderstanding. Maybe so, maybe no.
    But with so much money in play, and so few due process safeguards in place, it's easy to see how the system could be gamed. Moughni's advice:
    "If you're driving through Detroit and see a pretty woman on the curb, don't stop, don't roll down your window, don't even wink."

    If you happen to be in Detroit just go across the border into Windsor Canada where incall is legal and the girls are licensed.

    Two good choices are;
    www.executiveschoice.com
    www.windsorescorts.com

    Vivion and Carah are independants who advertise on the Windsor board and are $100-150.00 US per hour.They are both fantastic providers.

    Escort busted, Royal Oak, Mich.

    Info current as of November 3, 2004
    From Click on Detroit dot com
    Woman accused of running at-home prostitution business
    Undercover detectives allegedly offered list of sex acts
    A Royal Oak woman was arrested for allegedly running a prostitution business out of her townhouse. Undercover detectives went to the 38-year-old woman's home in the 33000 block of Coolidge after they made an appointment through a website that contained sexually exlicit photos, Local 4 reported.
    * * *
    The web site referred to her as a 28-year-old woman named Jenny (article includes her photo). On the site, the woman claimed she was offering entertainment services, but emphasized that no sex was involved, police said.
    Police said the woman was arrested after she came to her door naked and handed officers a price list of sex acts. Jenny allegedly answered the door naked, took a phone call and when she came back her townhome was full of police waiting to arrest her [ and, of course, ogle her] The woman is expected to face charges in court on Friday.
    * * *
    [ Anybody know the website? Also, I can see why Jenny claims to be 28-years-old. She can pass for...well, thirty. She is a white girl, looks like she might be tall and leggy with long hair, nice face that radiates friendliness.]
